Richer Sounds were baffled when I called up to say their couriers had managed to lose a 65" TV.

I'll never forget City Link 'losing' our new Sony 12 years ago. Thieving cvnts.

I’ve already had the refund. Still showing as with Hermes but Amazon’s own ‘track your order’ said it was lost 😂

Disappointingly, if it turns up I’ll probably end up keeping it because I haven’t found any amazing post-Christmas deals. I’d like the same one as you, Simon, or an A9 OLED though the latter is not going to be discounted to a price I’m willing to pay.

Richer Sounds have mine at £899. It's £1199 RRP. That still too rich for your tastes Si?

Correction. RRP is £949 now. Was £1199 RRP when we picked it up at launch.

Doesn’t feel like a deal - the next model down (which might still arrive) is £649 because it’s been discounted £150. If the 95 came down closer to £800 I’d jump on it.

Found the A9 for £200 off, but that’s still £1499 so... no 😂

But it's still 25% off it's launch price 7 months ago. Trust me, whether it 'feels like a deal' or not, at £899 it's great value for a brilliant set. What hifi had it as their best <50" set until the OLED 48 came out, and strangely they didn't bundle the metal premium remote with the A9S like they did with the larger 'lesser' A8 Oleds.

We'll keep it until a similar mini-led backlit is available by Sony in a few years time.

You really need a TV to break around May/June, before the model year changes, to maximise discount...
The problem with OLED is that once you’ve spent time with one you don’t want anything else, but as long as you stay ignorant LED is fine!

Just remember to switch off all of the motion/picture improvements on whatever you buy. I’m amazed that they are shipped with them on, as they make every TV whether £500 or £5k, look like. £200 Tesco special.

I always adjust the settings, but I don’t watch much telly so I’ll aim to stick to £600ish rather than £900ish for my wife to view Corrie 😂

Really noticed the change to OLED on my phone hence the desire to get a tv with that, but I don’t use glasses to view my phone and I do to watch telly. So there’s limited benefit where my eyes are concerned.

Hey, ours is on CBeebies most of the time. I'm not sure Noah appreciates Sony's best X1 Ultimate processor when he's watching 'In the Night Garden'.
