The only positive I ever saw with electric cars was that the bonnet line would drop and they would look sleek and aerodynamic.
This doesn’t seem to make any difference to BMW ?

Quite.
I thought not being constrained by a traditional layout would mean manufacturers would have free reign to come up with all sorts of interesting vehicles.
But no, we just get slightly spazzy and oddly proportioned versions of ‘normal’ cars.

I’m no longer buying the crap line that it’s to appease the Chinese market either. Chinese EVs look nicer than what we have in the West and don’t look stupid with oversized grills.
Also they have the low bonnets on the saloons...

The BMW reminds me of the Cullinan for some reason
(Also fugly)

It keeps making me think Edsel, but uglier.

I got that too. Raised central bonnet, squared arches and the 45 degree angle over the rear wheel arches (and a massive grille)

(brave colour!)

Interesting that the Cullinan has a comparatively small grill due to having space for a number plate. I can only imagine the facelift will pull the grill right down to the undertray and stick the plate in the middle too.

Last night I was following what I thought was a cullinan from a distance.
When I got close I realised it was one of the new black cabs

I don't mind the Cullinan - I don't really get why it gets slated so badly as ugly.
Obviously I have no desire for one because I have no desire for any SUVs.

Same, it’s not really awful, it’s exactly how you’d expect a Rolls-Royce suv to look. They weren’t ever going to go Porsche macan style were they?

Really?
That beige Beemer is pretty bland, it is like how I imagined a Kia Rio would look in to the future, back when Kia Rios had grey interiors, circa 2005, only Kia now make pretty nice looking cars and Beemers are fucking horrendous.

I've tried to be positive about battery powered vehicles, but I always end up seeing the negative side. I feel my interest in them is somewhere between going flat and terminal.

I’m struggling to amp up my interest too, but always end up neutral
