The convertible X drive will be an actual tank.

Also not bothered about the weight to any great degree. There’s ultimately only so much they can do these days, given what buyers demand.
I’ve always liked BMWs but the exhaust setup looks a little meaningless to my eyes, and combined with that diffuser setup the overall result is way too much. Will reserve definitive judgement until I’ve seen it in the metal but yeah, compared to the first time I saw the E46 M3 (which, like the first time I saw the E39 M5, immediately grabbed me) this looks too polarising and a somewhat unhappy design.

Remember that exhaust and diffuser set up is optional m performance parts, god knows how much they’ll charge for that bit of tat

Damn it - the more of these I see, the more I'm warming to the looks.. even the grill.

I saw a couple of M4's driving back from Devon last week, and I must admit I didn't think they looked that bad in real life... I'm guessing the more you see the grill, the less awful it becomes

Probably the only M cars I have absolutely zero desire to own. Still oil just as vile as the early leaked shots.

The front end looks tough, it's got a strong look, I'm a fan of them switching it up with this new kidney grill style.

I'm liking the look of them in real life. It's a grower!

Finally people start to agree with me
Although I will still say the grille only looks OK because it's partly hidden.

Dare I ask how much these are coming in at once specced up?
Edit: 99-105K. When did that happen!?
Some really subtle colour schemes out there too! The rear spoiler just doesn't go with it at all IMO.

yep, I was painfully aware it meant agreeing with you!

. The ones I've liked have been very modern flat colours with blacked out grills - they look mean!
I'm still not sold on the M3s, one of my neighbours has one in "that green" which doesn't help. It's still too fussy and the rear arch/door detail is noticeably worse than the previous shape.

New Lexus LX600. Suddenly the m4 grill looks understated

Speaking of grilles you can't help but notice, the current Hyundai Tucson has it's DRLs in the grille.
I can't tell if I like that or not. It's certainly striking in the evening, I'll give it that much.

Spooky. Was just about to post about the Hyundai.
There was one behind me a few nights ago and it looked fucking ridiculous.

That Hyundai is particularly vomit inducing when viewed from behind. I don't think the front styling is unique either, it's just a poor rip off a Mercedes EQC.

I'll be honest, it was also pretty distracting. Although given I was in the Boxster that's maybe worse as I'm sitting so low.
