Can we just take a moment to ignore the hidiousness that is the grill and acknowledge that the rest of the car is a bland identikit design?

yep, this is number two on the “no one agrees with you” thread count!!Orange Cola wrote: Wed Jun 03, 2020 6:07 pm Does the grill really upset people that much? Other than the pictures you’ll never see one again because it’ll be wedged up the bumper of the car in front.
More seriously I don’t actually mind it, I think that’s because I stopped liking BMW’s styling a while back and haven’t ever viewed them as nice looking cars since so there’s nothing to be disappointed about any more.
None of the rest of the range have looked any better in the plastictim wrote: Wed Jun 03, 2020 3:33 pm Like the new 1 series it'll probably look better in the metal than pics, but it's not doing much for me.

the 1 series is ok looking, it doesn’t look like a BMW though.Swervin_Mervin wrote: Wed Jun 03, 2020 6:17 pmNone of the rest of the range have looked any better in the plastictim wrote: Wed Jun 03, 2020 3:33 pm Like the new 1 series it'll probably look better in the metal than pics, but it's not doing much for me.![]()
The better* looking ones I've seen of the current lineup have all had the completely black grilles, so you can't quite see the crappy blanked off top bits. But then they just look like a cokehead that's done so much they've lost their septum.
*still monumentally hanging though

Always quite liked the normal 3 coupes/4s. Lovely interior in this one http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... obcid=soc3nuttinnew wrote: Wed Jun 03, 2020 8:44 pmjamcg wrote: Wed Jun 03, 2020 2:32 pmWith some tacky M coloured bits stuck onto the bogo spec diesel no doubtNotoriousREV wrote: Wed Jun 03, 2020 10:59 am It won’t be long until we see these being run around with the grille blacked out and no front plate.
BMW know their market; "all 4-series models in the UK will be available in M Sport trim only".

Speaking of the new 1'er.
I caught up with one Sunday at a local d/c roundabout, and with two big exhaust pipes one either side I wondered if it was a new M135i and whether I could engage thrust mode and see whose was more betterer.
It was a 118d.
(I won)
ffs.
4 series in luxury spec is a lovely thing and much nicer than the MSportKevH18 wrote: Wed Jun 03, 2020 8:59 pmAlways quite liked the normal 3 coupes/4s. Lovely interior in this one http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... obcid=soc3
Without the number plate it looks better, a bit of old American muscle about it.
