I need a bike...
Fixed.
What do people do with old bikes that are not really great for onward sale because the bushes in the frame and the frame itself are of questionable integrating and the components are decent but not really compatible with the latest bikes?
Part it out on eBay and scrap the rest? Second hand bike shop and let them sort it out? Just send it to the tip? Try and sell locally?
Been trying to get out on my mountain bike this past week and its been good fun, totally different from running and the road bike. Just an hour or so at a time exploring local trails and stuff, am really enjoying it.
Looking forward to Max getting a bit older and being able to go out as a family on bike rides. There's some decent woodland trails near us and a decent bike park.
I also need to buy another bike. My Specialized "got stolen" from the garage when I split up from my ex-wife. Funny how there was no sign of forced entry and nothing else was stolen from the garage (other bikes, power tools etc.). I reckon the spiteful bitch flogged it.
If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

What type of bike is it? Some old bikes are collectible these days

Finally took delivery of my new ride today. Not the cube as intended, with my place being glacial to pay cyclescheme (they still haven’t) I lost that and the shop were a bit crappy with customer into the process too. When they told me it was gone but I could choose something else (knowing it would mean more money) I took my money elsewhere. Giant themselves offering a deal on the last 2019 anthem in a medium left with them in the country and the opportunity to pay up front and then get a refund for my voucher value when it get here I did that.
So man maths means I’ve now spent more than I intended but have an fs xc bike (rather than trail, xc is very rare under 2k now) which I wanted, to suit my riding. Picked up some pb’s on strava with it this evening and bumped myself into the overall top 10 twice and even hit a second place in one section so it must be good. The platform is ace and suspension (all fox) works well. I’m not fully convinced by sram NX ergonomics, shimano xt has it beat but it’s not as clunky as I feared it may be (I’ve pretty much ridden only shimano deore xt in various incarnations since it came out), so maybe I just need to change the shifter to an adjustable platform one so my thumb can reach it a bit easier. Size wise It fits better than my cube ever did (short legs long body me) as I was between their frame sizes. So it’s worked out for the best. Eldest now has that cube, it fits him well and he is definitely faster on it than his old boardman.
I don't take biking/Strava seriously enough to subscribe to its premium service, but the one feature I did like was quickly being able to compare past efforts on the same course. Unfortunately that's gone to the premium model-only.
Is there any other run/bike tracking software which does offer this feature without paying for it?
I know its only £4 a month, but these subscriptions are starting to add up and I'm a mean Jock.

Apple Watch and a bit of manual input here. I think it’s Strava or Strava.
I had noticed my "miles this month" seems to have gone. I am sure I can still see segments though? Not as comprehensive though probably. £4 per month is just a joke though, I had a conversation with the other half last night and I wondered how much it was as a tenner a year for what I use on it would seem reasonable and if 50% of users paid that they could remain advert free but £48 a year is too steep for the bits i have lost. Maybe they should bring in a "average users" option at £1 or £1.50 a month as I suspect that would sell well.
