This very picture, sent to me by TVR after I wrote to them for a GCSE project.
I love that era of Cerbera. Perfect wheels, no stupid lights.

288 GTO

Bimota (Tesi?) hub-centre steering job.
Mine was similar to that except it was in portrait format, still had the 3 images though.

I had a bunch of Max Power and Street Machine magazine posters but those are the two cars I always remember.

Has to be the back of the 288 as well, it’s the best angle.

Dunno why but I expected you to have this one.

No - I could even see her face. I think she had a face.

I had a couple of Max Power Ones, Iron Maiden and loads of 125cc, 250cc & 500cc GP bikes as well as WSB stuff. Mainly from MCN. Had them all over my ceiling too. Downside was a mahoosive spider dropped out of them one night and landed on my face. I shrieked like a tea kettle! 😂😂

The thing is, before the days of the internet, it wasn’t as though you could easily say “I want a poster of a *very particular* car for my wall”.

You went to Athena/Woolworths/whatever shop and flicked through their wall hung hinged display thing and picked the one that was closest to what you liked.

I remember coming back from things like motor shows/BTCC/air show/etc with absolutely bags full of shit that I didn’t ever look at again!

Ooh that. 90% went straight in the bin when you got home.

I think I had a glossy promo poster of the Argyll Turbo from the Scottish Motor Show that lived on my wall for a few months.... because slot-mags.

I can't remember any car posters :(. For some reason I recall having a soft spot for the TR7, though I've never wanted to own one since being able to drive and don't fancy one now.

Lots of music posters, some of which I may still have in the loft, for no sensible reason.
There was one of Wendy James that I saw in Athena that I have fond memories of but never bought.

Other posters were a couple of movie posters, Leon and Trainspotting and music posters. Mostly Placebo and Marilyn Manson.

A lot of mine came from cut up Autocar mags.

A bit later than the Countach poster, I had this on my wall (it was all cars when I lived at home, music when I went to university):

Company I worked for did a limited edition canvas of this and the woman in it came on our show stand at the NEC.

Poster wise, I had mostly Athena stuff so the 959, Countach, testarossa had various modded Mini and Beetle posters plus a flatnose 911 and goodness knows what else.

He came on the stand too. I cannot remember if we had Page 3 girls or Hollyoaks girls there but he certainly seemed keen... :D

And following some wikipedia links there, the dress is now in Wimbledon's museum. 8-)
