I ordered some fencing online to replace one at the front that blew down a while back. I was kind of hoping it would take Even longer to deliver because I’m enjoying building the playhouse instead, but it’s just turned up AND the neighbours saw it arrive, so no bloody excuses... delivery took about 2 weeks longer than I was originally advised though.

Expect to be reported to the police for doing something non-essential then

It is a weird way to do it, I guess it’s different if you have a click and collect service.
Our website is running normally but with a banner warning people that there’s a small shipping delay. We’re doing alright tbh. We’re still getting orders out within a week despite only running a quarter of our usual warehouse staff.
Whys that incidentally? To allow social distancing / safe working or people ill/ isolating?
Our place has about 150 staff, roughly 50/50 admin / office and production. Currently I think there are two office people on the vulnerable list isolating, and a handful more working from home. Since I've been back I don't think there's anyone else off at the moment.

Mostly social distancing, narrow aisles in the warehouse and a fairly small open office means that we want to have minimal people on site. There’s no one in the office, we’ve furloughed some people and we haven’t had any of our agency staff since this started.
The only people on site at the moment are the general manager, warehouse manager and 4 or 5 warehouse staff.

Your paranoia that the neighbours saw you; didn't you see the part of your post I quoted?

i mentioned the neighbours in the context of me not really wanting to do the job! But unfortunately, like most fences, they have an interest in me putting it back up too. So it’s not as though I could carry on with any excuses about kit not turning up. That was pretty clear in my post, non? Apologies if it wasn’t.

I’d tell the neighbours to go suck a dick. Probably the same sort of cunts who ask if you can wash their car when you’re doing your own. Again, go suck a dick.

Go and lie down Mito, you’re sounding like a child again.

Noone wants to be me
My friend runs a fencing (wood panels not stolen goods) business and they are really busy. Security from thieving scummers looking to pay their dealers back for 3 weeks worth of tick is quite a requirement

The local B&Q and Homebase are now open and I’ve heard there’s like half mile long queues to get in. Fucking idiots probably all wanting to buy plants

The Police have tweeted about the same scenes in Swansea B&Q and are there
It's madness, you can see things getting better and then people take the piss.
