This must be the first ‘real’ rally special since EVO/Impreza?
I like it.

I think they’ve got to make 25,000 of these worldwide next year to qualify for rally regs, so the price should be lower than you’d expect- that’s mass production compared to homologation specials of old

Surely it’s going to be £40k?

I’d guess about that. I like it, I hope people buy them.

I'll make a prediction - it'll be incredibly quick and grippy but ultimately a bit anodyne.

I want another hot hatch to do some sprinting and hill climbing in, the Fiesta ST idea might be about go out the window

This is the sort of semi affordable car that piques my interest and I think the last car to do that was the Clio v6. Be interesting to see what other manufacturers do.

Needs another 50bhp to be properly quick, I reckon. At its weight and power it’ll be not much quicker than a mid-90s Impreza.

The bigger issue is that it looks like a fucking Yaris.

Last two comments sum it up for me I’m afraid.

Yeah, it's cool it's being built, but I don't particularly want one.

The GRMN was quite well received so I think the new car would be a fun car also.

Consider me surprised at the price. I wonder if they’re intending to sell it in some numbers?

£30k ain't bad for a 260hp 4wd hot hatch on a semi custom platform.

Plus £3.5k for a couple of LSDs, maybe some differently tuned suspension and a set of MPS4Ss.
Looks very interesting...

I have to say, at £30k it becomes a little more interesting, especially with the circuit pack.

Love the power understeer on the first attempt to get the back loose - not quite enough of a flick there.
Does donuts though, gets my seal of approval.

Presumably it’s still in camo so it looks less like a Yaris
