I’ve been told that all I’ll receive are the contents of the septic tank  I don’t expect to outlive them so just enjoy watching them burn through it all.

Farmer next door was always a tight traditional farmer type. Lovely guy but has never left Kent
Just had a Picanto which he swapped for a new one after 7 years. No kids or wife either so not sure what the fuck he was saving it all for. Had a series of health scares and chat with my dad. I think he got really scared and realised time is running out as the next time I met him he had bought a new Mustang, new pick up truck, new tractor with a bunch of attachments and was dating one of the ladies who keeps her horses on his land and gave her the Kia
He’s definitely happier though.

My old boss and dear friend worked tirelessly all his life and was about to retire. He had amassed a small fortune, had bought land and was building his dream Cribs style mansion, was still quite young and looking forward to the rest of his life with loving wife, kids and grandkids...

Then got struck by lightning and died before he hit the floor...

Live every day like it’s your last

No one lives forever. No one. But with advances in modern science, and your high level of income, I mean, it's not crazy to think you can't live to be 245, maybe 300.
shake and bake!

I'm aiming for 100 but doubt I'll get there. I expect to work until I get dementia. I just hope I'm with it enough to realise and to carry out my exit strategy.

Broccers, did you have a real question here? Pension, life insurance, making sure the mortgage is paid off... it won’t bother me too much if I die early because I’ll be dead, but I’m bothered about looking after my family.

I'd hope for 80+ but would rather go sooner if it meant not having to put up with years of debilitating disease and care homes.

The house is the mrs' and costs are covered if either of us go and will just be left to her children, don't have anyone I particularly plan on leaving anything to, would like to get a small fund in place somehow so my mates can go and have a piss up on me if I go first.

I've not owed a penny to anyone since being 31 so it's more a question of mortality.

Lots of people die in their 50s these days.

Far more make it past them though, said the 66 year old...

Life expectancy for a 47 year old male in the UK is to live to about 81, depending on risk factors.

I mean in terms of being personally useful. Handy for the odd chap who actually dies at 81 but some other poor sod may make it to 100 and run out of money or die at 50 with all their money saved up
