Wow, so Seb really is going to Red Bull  I wonder how they’ll fit that in, demote Albion back to Toro Rosso? :?

Exactly. F1 is usually in opposite world. If something is rejected or definitely not true then it’s almost certain to happen 😂

Weather forecast for tomorrow is torrential rain to the extent that the teams are going to treat practice 2 as qualifying as Saturday may be cancelled.

Jimmy posted this vid a few weeks ago, looks like overtaking will be difficult at Mugello but the track will be challenging for the driver's anyway.

Not even a year ago Horner was boasting that the RB seat was safe for the rest of the year, then before we knew it Albon was swapped into it

Gasly wasn’t exactly responding well to pressure though, if he’d openly said that his seat was at risk he’d probably have cracked in two!

Gasly looked like he’d been let down faster than a pin to a balloon when he found out he had lost his RB seat, he wasn’t expecting that at all. If he thought he was at risk I’d have expected a different reaction.

exactly. That’s why Horner was saying the seat was safe, because Gasly wouldn’t have handled being told it was at risk well (and would have put in even shitter performances).

As it happened, he didn’t manage to turn it around, even with the team giving him a big virtual hug.

There were many rumours about Gasly being sacked if he didn’t improve his performance so he must have been pretty blind to not see it coming! I think the final straw was something along the lines that Gasly believed there was a problem with the chassis so Helmut instigated a full investigation and after that he got sacked so presumably the car was fine and Gasly was just a bit average...

Which proves my point, even though I wasn’t being serious at all, that whatever Horner says the opposite will happen

Crazy. 1.2 seconds in F1 is a lifetime.

Interesting to see Gasly getting it working after yesterday’s discussions!

What a quali. Max will be a liability on the front row tomorrow, I'm thinking he'll be more Crashstappen than Verstappen, could deny us a good race.
