It wasn’t an active GroupA car, so you wouldn’t expect it to reach £silly, but less than £50k for a 560bhp race-prepped RS500 looks like an absolute (relative) bargain!

Rarity value I guess? There can’t be many of these beasts.
I remember at the time the reviews criticised its weight so probably they weren’t bought to be flogged round tracks and I guess wound up being used as GTs.

I’ve always liked them, but the interior is such a let down. Every one I went in when doing classic cars had bits of knackered trim, delaminating veneers and dials, shrinking leather dashboards and flakey electrics. Only the ford bits have lasted, but they looked crap from day one…

Isn't that par for the course for eighties supercars ? Every Countach I've seen in the flash looked like it was built by TVR on a bad day.
