It’s nowhere near as good as Troll Hunter. Think the 90’s holywood Godzilla compared to Shin Godzilla.

Well that's a kick in the balls for tonight's post-footy plans.
We watched
The Invitation over the weekend which is a pretty standard horror movie, nothing special, but solid enough and had a really pleasing aesthetic to it.

I liked the invitation.
Like I said before Troll was fun but it’s not a film you’ll remember.

Yeah, it was pretty enjoyable. Which I meant to finish that post with but clearly forgot. Just something very likeable about it and felt contemporary as well as being a bit gothic too.
After the Brazil game, Troll it is.

6 Underground
It's a new Ryan Reynolds Netflix flick done by Michael Bay.
Conflicting. Mostly proper brain out entertainment - opens with a sublimely ridiculous car chase around Florence. But then
there are scenes of children being gassed
weird.
Watched this yesterday. It's quite good I thought

lots of cars to spot including the mini.

This
I really enjoyed Troll Hunter, not so much Troll though

I quite enjoyed Trolls. I've quite liked Anna Kendrick since I accidentally enjoyed Pitch Perfect...

I have watched (zoned out) many a crap film - my boy doesn't like watching the same thing more than once or twice, so it's always the hunt for "something new".
However, there have been some great films in there - Moana, Raya, Frozen 2, W&G the curse of the were rabbit, the Croods, and a few more are all genuinely good films imo!

Oh for sure, I'll watch kids films that look good, I fancy that Slumberland that's on Netflix.

I draw the line at Frozen. That shit can get in the bin. Thankfully the boy seems to agree. He's pretty much done Netflix and Disney though so everything's on repeat

Frozen 1 was a bit shit, the second one is great though!

Bang on. Frozen 2 is great, as is Moana and any Wallace & Grommet. All the Kung Fu Panda movies and Big hero 6 are awesome too.

I remember Frozen 1 being absolutely spectacular in the cinema originally. It suffered through collosal over exposure though. Sequel was good too. I am a massive sucker for animation though.
Onward is an absolute gem that didn't seem to get the audience it deserved.
The two Wreck it Ralph's are my favourites, littered with gaming tropes and who doesn't love a hard as nails Space Mariness.

Coraline and The Oddsockeaters are two kids movies that stand out as “good by any measure”

Loads of good ones and we've watched them all. Frozen and Moana have been favourites that have been watched many, many times.
Turning Red was good too.

It's like Michael Bag thought that Michael Bay films weren't Michael Bay enough, so turned up the Michael Bay. I think there was a non-fast panning low around the subject camera shot for one small scene but I might be mistaken.
Absolute crap, turned it off.

I watched the Quick and the Dead for the first time in ages the other day.
Still a great cheesy western. Not quite Tombstone, but then what is.

Avatar 2 absolutely fucking awesome.
Nitpicks.
Daaaaamn I needed an interval, it is great but long.
High frame rate took a little getting used to and a handful of CGI shots didn't come off maybe because the number of frames needed for it to look realistic was "off".
Signourney Weaver's presumably de-aged voice was uncanny valley stuff, YMMV.
