Black Panther 2 could have been great but so flipping unfocused!
Really didn't needed to be Black Panther and Blue meanie and another blue-gold hero and Samus etc etc etc.
Rewatched Avatar yesterday, enjoyed it for the umpteenth time. Really don't get the hate it attracts. Looking forward to Way of the Water next month.

Avatar looks like a video game in a bad way and the plot is ripped off from Fern Gully.

One of the few films that actually looked awesome in 3D at the cinema and it still looks great today in HD. I have no idea what format looks "like a video game".
Plot stitches everything together better than most of the MCU.
I am entertained.

Filums what I have watched this week so that you don't have to:
1. Poker Face. Featuring Russell "pass me the telephone" Crow and some other people. Just no. Actually yes, watch it up to the bit where they drive in an improbablt street race with a Bentley with a "full race" engine. Then turn it off because it's a shit mess of a story. 0/10.
2. Ambulance. Well now, this gets 2 stars from a possible 10 stars. One for the hot female paramedic and another for the Nissan GT-R Nismo no less, that made a brief appearance. When did you last see one of those? Anyway, if you like improbable car chases and stuff blowing up, and don't care for story, characters, plot or any kind of nuance, it might be for you.
3. Nobody. Now this was quite good actually, although you get about half way through before the actual story reveals itself, then it becomes a bit formulaic. Entertaining though. 6 Better Call Saul's out of a possible 10.

Glass Onion excellent entertainment with some bonus 918 pron. Really nice to go to the cinema and not come away with the feeling a film would have been better had someone written and edited the thing properly.

Really liked the first Knives Out film and we're off to see this new one with some friends on Saturday afternoon at our local Picture House cinema (the famous Duke of York's in Brighton)
it's a great place to watch a film - a proper, old cinema. Red velour seats, they're licensed, and do a great line in "home made" cakes too

Lost Bullet
Watched this last night after the series was recommended to me by the same person who turned me on to Scott Adkins movies.
Low budget French action movie about a mechanic who gets framed by corrupt cops. As you would expect from french action movies there are good martial arts fight scenes and car chases. You can tell the car chases are going to be good because all the cars in it are at least 15 years old

. The main car is a Renault 21 Turbo, which I thought was cool.
Worth a watch if like me you're always on the lookout for decent action movies that aren't billion dollar franchise deals. Going to watch the second one tonight

Funnily enough we also saw it in a great old community cinema that too is licensed

but does great choc-tpp ice creams rather than cakes.

I never watched that film but always referred to it by the synonym Hairy Cleft.

Ooh, where is that? I had a real hankering to watch it last Christmas but didn't get round to it. 75 mins of extra Steve Martin gurning probably ruins it, of course

Word of warning... the picture quality in the 4K version of Planes, Trains... looks absolutely terrible. Avoid avoid! Not sure how else you can see the extras, I wonder if they'll pop up on Youtube.

Troll on Netflix - Utter utter bilge, bits nicked from King Kong, Jurassic Park, Independence Day and so on, save yourself the time and don’t bother.

I quite liked Troll, true it wasn’t the most original monster movie ever but it was fun.

I watched it because I thought - it can’t be that bad, can it??
I was wrong, you were right - utter shite.
It can’t make up its mind which of the 4 genre’s it’s trying to be so it try’s each in turn and fails at every one
0/10 is generous

Boss Level (Amazon)
If you like 80s/90s action films like tango and Cash, commando, demolition man (and also like Edge of Tomorrow) then this is the film for you.
It's all there, just enough plot to work, ex navy seal badass, OTT action, comedy deaths, a camp baddy, family members in peril, redemption through finding love, etc... it doesn't try to be too clever, just lots of fun.
I really liked it!

I'm still tempted to watch it because of how good Troll Hunter was....

Well I haven’t seen Troll Hunter but I have no doubt it will become even better in your eyes if you watch this drivel!
