See also some car under tray sections which are made from compressed fabric/cardboard. Who thought that was a good idea?!
If it outlasts the warranty and it's half the cost of plastic, then probably the accountants....
So much of this. Gotta save that 10p per car

No-ones accepting the 'heated seats as a service' scam so they gotta make that money somehow.

On the bright side, this set up an obvious joke, where my wife asked if any of my friends could help, if they have vices
“If I have one vice it is to be screwed on top of a bench”

With the arrival of cooler weather, I've become increasingly aware of the draft that comes into the car when the roof's down
It has a mesh draft deflector, but it doesn't really do much
So I've ordered a perspex one (NB: no Porsche logo or other silly stuff etched in it)
Hopefully this will reduce those chilly drafts and mean we get more top-down driving over autumn and winter

Have you tried putting the roof up?

My M550i warned me about low coolant, which was odd, as it's only coming up to 12,000 miles but I've been driving it hard recently. I even shocked a 997 4s on a trip to Wales last month, buts that's another story.
Assuming it was a false warning, I checked the two tanks. The turbo tank was fine, but the main tank was empty and had a lot of dried white residue on it.
The car needs the newer LC18 green coolant, which is only available from the dealer or as a pre-mixed version from Opie Oils, I didn't risk starting the car until it was topped up, so had to pay next day delivery. I've topped it back up for now and will keep a close eye on it, but it's well within the warranty so I'm not too worried.
Reading online, some say that they do burn coolant, but Im not sure that's to be expected.

How on earth would they burn coolant?

Losing coolant means the system isn't properly sealed somewhere, surely? I know the cap will vent but that should be venting air not coolant.
Odd glitch on the S6 this morning. I had been on the motorway for a few minutes when I noticed the passenger reading light in the centre roof console was on. I hadn't turned it on. I played around with the buttons and realised there seemed to be no switches for passenger and driver reading lights - both just come on when the doors open or again together manually when you press the button. I turned it on and off a few times and the light above me kept coming on and off but the passenger side one stayed on. Turned off the heated seat shortly after and noticed it had gone off - probably coincidence. Surely?

I thought the same, oil can burn but coolant only leaks. Hopefully it's something simple like the cap not being tightened.

It might not burn but it can definitely be invisibly emitted from the tailpipe by entering the combustion chamber…

Absolutely - but that can only really happen via Head Gasket failure non? And leaks there tend to go the other way (ie combustion gases entering the coolant system and over-pressurising it (although I have seen HGF causing coolant to get sucked in by a cooling non-running engine)).

Cracked liner, cracked head, leaky inlet manifold gasket where it contains a water passage, leaking heat exchanger where coolant seeps into the oil and evaporates into the breather system.
Depends how bad it is, some of those could cause the system to over pressurise so you loose coolant out of the cap / overflow and only do it when hot or under load for longer periods.
