The only figure estimated is the decrease in sales, but it's not an unreasonable estimate. The rest are accurate (albeit rounded up in the case of UK sales, the actual figure was 9.6% for 2018).

The point is, the impact on those in the EU is almost immaterial compared to the impact on us.

You have no idea how much sales would decrease by (no one does of course) which is pretty important in the equation!

And anyway, using the example of “German cars” isn’t a great one to show two way trading traffic!

As an example, for the EU/Canada deal, it was all started in 2009, all of the negotiations were completed in 2014. It then took a further 4 years to be fully ratified into law on both sides.

How much would sales have to reduce by to be material to BMW, and how big a drop do YOU think a 10% price rise would reasonably affect sales, given an environment where almost the entire car market will be impacted (e.g. all BMWs competitors will face the same issue)?

No, but it’s possible to make reasonable assumptions based on how we know things work. Or, do you think there’s a chance that a 10% rise in prices will lead to increased sales?

You simply don’t have an argument that stands up to any reasonable analysis hence the “shouty remainer” bullshit. It’s all any of you have: blind faith based on nothing.

we Haven’t discussed trade in the event of no deal at all. They’re currently talking about leaving on WTO terms.

That’s also just one of the trade deals we’d need to sort out.

But you know full well that that can’t happen because the country voted to leave.

I know there’s arguments and legal loops and all the rest that says we don’t have to, but just because we’re on the side that thinks the whole thing is stupid, there are more on the other side who don’t.

So the only choices we have left are how we leave.
