It wasnt someone in the street - it was a line of heavily armoured police, he shouldnt have run up to them.

He didn’t, he walked up and stopped because he was trying to give them a helmet someone dropped back.

Don’t question the militarised police! And definitely don’t question why the police are militarised.

So it’s ok to be attacked by police when using your right to peaceful protest? Gotcha.

There have been more examples of radicalised old people attacking the watchdogs.
This old boy was stopped before he could wreak too much havoc:

This homeless guy tried to impede a Police rubber bullet going about it's lawfull business:

He really should have stayed at home.

The police shouldn't rise to the bait either then should they? They're only giving protesters the ammunition by doing so.

What’s the media got to do with it? The first time I saw the video was a retweet of someone at the protest.

That man’s history has nothing to do with how he was treated in that moment.

It’s the standard police method. Do something awful then take the victim’s history to find a justification for it.

Who’s the establishment stooge. The person saying the police weren’t justified or the person following the line of a group of powerful proven liars?

I get that this guy is probably an irritating prick who is continually getting in the way, And there’s plenty of instances of these people play acting on camera, but you can’t just shove him over and then try to ignore the blood pooling on the pavement under his head!

Don’t forget, there are people out there defending the police for killing George Floyd because he had criminal convictions in his past. Some folks will never see the problem until it hits them personally square in the face.

If you go on the scene of actions alone it’s an old man with a carrier bag and a group of armed police wearing protective gear. The old man was not a threat to the police. There’s no two ways about it, he simply was not a threat. The first aggressive action came from a police person in the form of a shove.

Prior to the shove there was no meaningful contact with the old man to establish the facts, either peacefully direct him on his way or help him in some other way if required. There is no reasonable justification for the action from the policeman. By applying Broccers logic to this I can gather a group of my police mates and all go round to Broccers street and shove him to the floor in the road. If he breaks his skull in the process then it’s Broccers fault for being in the way of the police. I’ll even stage a protest outside Broccers front door to make sure it’s fully compliant with his own logic.

Don't forget to slash everyone's tyres, those who parked there are fully complicit in the threat to law and order.
