Turbo S, 72,000 miles, currently £19,000...
That’s a good looking car! Tiptronic though.

Yeah, getting to the point where they're starting to need a lot of money spending on them. All the radiators are starting to corrode on a lot of them.
996s are very DIY-friendly if one has the skillz which you do. (I don’t sadly)

I keep looking at track focused cars, I ordered a basic car transporter so this gives scope for travelling further afield. The X5 has been sitting unused for a year so could stick a tow bar on that which would be infinitely better at towing.
My dad always goes on about how he’d like a Caterham whenever he sees one but can’t ever commit so I could probably tempt him if we both share. Do need to sit in one to try for size though as he says the large chassis ones look like crap. The used prices are a bit of a laugh, I guess it’s a very specific market with every owner thinking they’ve got a gold nugget, so pretty much exactly like the Defender market.

You have ordered a new car trailer without even knowing what you are going to buy ?

And you’re sure your parents don’t want to adopt a 39 year old brother for you?

Buy a new one and build it with your dad?

Coaster1 is right, I'd have thought building one would be right up your alley Mito. Also would make an interesting thread.
There's so much right about towing around a Caterham, seems like a win win.

Building a caterham sounds like a great idea!
And yes tow them to tracks

I did look at the Caterham assembly PDF, looks just like a Tamiya manual although my dad is less keen on going through that route.
Will see what happens if anything

Yeah, caterhams aren’t like full on diy kitcars, it’s just bolting together lots of bits.
I don’t know your build, but at over 6ft you’re going to have to be pretty slim to fit in one comfortably.

SV ones are good if you're over 6ft (ime).

No pics yet but there's a 340i Touring, done 26,507 miles, 4 years old, for sale at a bmw dealer for £22k. Shame no adaptive suspension.

Yeah I'm 6'3 and I need a bag seat as well as a lowered floor in mine.
Therefore I agree with Mik, build an Ultima instead.

Edit - his Facebook updates are well worth a look, he's done a lot of upgrades and built a GTR since that thread:
