Cheers for the tips. Will start asking around locally with regards to dog walkers and also keep an eye on the local Blue Cross place. It’s reassuring to see that dogs there don’t seem to hang around too long, but this means we need to be quick of course

Another vote for a sighthound breed (greyhound, whippet etc.) here - perfect dogs for people who work; our two need about an hour of exercise a day. They will welcome more, but are equally happy to spend the rest of the day snoozing on the sofa.
Puppies are hard work, as already noted - but you do get to raise them and train them to your own preferences, and you have a much better idea of the dog's experiences and likely range of reactions than you would with a rescue.

Puppies are massively hard work but worth it just to witness the absolute insanity of them.
Kittens are the same in terms of insanity but don't really need much work as they know stuff from birth.

Kittens are easy; they even manage to defecate and urinate in a litter box from the day you get them.

Newdug Luna celebrated her 1yr anniversary with us last week. Her recall remains crap, but she is fab.

Small dog has gone into season. REleaged to the crate most of the time and is not happy! She'll be getting done after this as we have no plans to breed her.

Photographic evidence has come to light suggesting that my dogs may be contenders in the fastest forum mongrel category.

Our Lab has recently taken to humping any black dog he meets... he’s 5 yo and had his balls cut off years ago. Does anyone have any techniques that’ve worked for them or their dogs?

I knew a lad at primary school that used to wank his dog off. I haven't tried it myself but it looked pretty straightforward tbh. Not much small talk or foreplay involved.
The dog did seem very devoted.

I'm convinced you're a pro or doing some sort of fancy editing
My Alphonso is like a black version of the ginger mongrel and I've been trying for 9 years to get any sort of decent motion photo of him and you appear to be able to capture them daily
Awesome pic

Black dogs are tricky to get a good picture of. I very rarely got a decent shot of our old black lab. Gingers are particularly photogenic.

Yes gingers can be quite photogenic
