Totally, football in general seems intrinsically linked with violence for a lot of people.

Is it any wonder really that your average England fan gets exasperated with the behaviour of UEFA and the prioritising of punishments.
July 7th
Booing National Anthem (not the first to do it but poor form)
Firework
Laser Pen (Which seemed to have no outcome on the keeper)
July 8th
Investigation underway and sanctions
Vs
June 17th Hungary
Homophobic Protests outside of ground
Orchestrated Homophobic protests in stands (wearing of Black T-Shirts, obvious on TV
Several instances of Monkey Chants audible on the tv coverage
June 18th
Nothing
June 19th
Nothing
June 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th
Nothing
June 25th
UEFA finally acknowledge incidents occurred but only after a complaint by a local Group
Hungary FA fined €40k (

FFS) for the Homophobia
NOTHING yet about the Monkey Chanting
But let’s make sure we deal with that pesky laser pen

I’m looking forward to several occurrences of players rolling on the floor clutching their shins almost crying followed by miraculous recoveries.

I had to go to a hospital appointment on Thursday morning. 30mins each way. I had Radio4 on and the only topic during those 2x30minute stints was the football (actually in the last 5 mins something came on about education, but you get the idea).
I don’t GAF about football, but when I last checked Radio4 was a UK-wide radio channel. That’s England, Ireland, Wales & Scotland. All of the discussion and interviews were about “our team”, the way in which the entire nation was delirious with excitement, how much we have all needed this since that amazing day in history in 1966, and how maybe, just maybe, it’s coming home.
The word “England” was barely used.
No problem with people getting understanfably excited and misty-eyes over the past, but report it accurately on a UK channel please. This isn’t an anti-Engish comment - my mum is (Northern) English - it’s an anti-stoopid comment.

Northern Ireland, please.
Typical UK person, arrogantly claiming all of the
Island as their own…

Been to Spoon's for breakfast. Blinking heck if there's no nose bags out most of those boys will be in bed by 4. Hammered.
As for not getting behind England, there are always choices, like turn it off. Shocker!
To actually watch it and want them to lose i understand too, do that every week with the Pigs (Wednesday).

I’m going to watch the game, not really rooting for anyone though.
Be nice to see the English win to see all the culture warriors try and turn it into a bad thing because virtue signalling or whatever

Going to watch it at home, CBA to go out and I’ve got my second jab in the morning.
Opted to not watch it with the GF. She’ll be moody as fuck if Italy are losing and if they win she’ll be intolerable.

It’s a bit like Andy Murray, when he wins he’s a British hero, when he loses he’s a Scottish wanker.
England football team in the final and then if they win -> UK heroes. If they lose -> English wankers.

its not as much fun when even the supporters admit they are terrible (can say the same for Blades too).
Left the local pub earlier and they are getting busy with all the tables reserved. I do wonder what carnage awaits the streets after it ends.
Ive a bet its a draw at full time.

I don’t understand the mentality, just saw that King’s Cross had to be evacuated cause folk were setting off flares in the station.
It’s like the US cities who riot whether their teams win or lose.
Or Rangers fans being completely unable to behave in any situation obviously.
