I'd love it to be an e46 s54 with airbox. Something no one would expect plus ste is fairly fond of bmws and knows a lot of bmw people

Oh, forgot to note I discovered the rear seat squab is loose on the E46. Had a look at it quickly and I guess it's just not quite sitting right. I'll have a proper look this weekend.

Honest answer is I really don't know. I was at Owen Garages having the tyres fitted and was talking to Olly that runs the place. He's convinced it needs a screaming 4 pot in there, although he's biased as he has a Mk1 Escort that has had an C20XE, Zetec, very high end Duratec and now has a stupid SR20 Nissan lump from a Primera touring car in it.

It's no secret that I love lightweight, high-powered NA engines. I think this car would suit a turbo though, Mazda MX5 BP engine with a discopotato, SR20DET or even an old M20b25 with a snail on it.

The way it sits though, I can't get past the idea of a burbling, dirty, big-cube V8 in it. Something with a lumpy idle that will twist the chassis over as you rev it and will just lay thick, black lines at will.

V8s fit easily in the space. In South Africa they made the Chevrolet Firenza CanAm which is a Firenza/Viva coupe with a small block Chevy.

What about a 6 pot BMW derv unit...would be different

It comes out quite easily by pulling the front edge upwards. It's probably not been clipped back in quite right.

Yep, give it a thump so the back edge tucks in, then thump each of the front corners to clip it down.

Yeah, if you are going to go stoopid then a crate LS plus suitable box (T6060 etc) would be right up your trumpet. LS3 mit fruity cam or LS7. ‘Charger for moh stoopidz.

Indeed they did. You may not remember, I'm from SA (well I was born there) and I've always liked the idea of a 'Little Chev'. As the caption says, they fit very nicely.



I never thought the coupe proportions worked, especially without the droopsnoot nose. I always preferred the 2 door proper Viva saloon shell.
