I didn't realise that both Trump and Melania both launched their own memecoins in the past couple of days

Classy

Yep

Sending people from their prisons and mental institutions etc etc

He's lacking grace in defeat and victory

God saved him when someone shot at him because God wants him to make America great again (standing ovation, no mention of the person who died, obviously)

The saved by god to make America again bit was great 😂
Could genuinely be a line out of a comedy.

There’s just too much to process.

Still, he’s going to solve every problem America ever had, plus a few things that are not problems … all in 4 years.

Fair play to him..,

At least he’s an optimist, unlike our bunch who spent all their time so far moaning about black holes and tough times.

The religious ideology in America is a bit scary. They seem to be talking about God for over an hour now. Just reminds me of that Far Cry game from a few years ago with the religious cults.

It is bizarrely religious, given what we know all these people do/have done

They're not exactly living the values are they?

Apparently Trump is $43bn richer (on paper) than he was two days ago thanks to his $Trump memecoin...

Looking at the composition of his base, it'll be all about god.

He is deranged.

It's easy to be optimistic when you're just lying about everything, though!

God comes up a lot because Reagan gave the evangelical crowd a lot of sway in return for their votes - and these fucking lunatics think that if Israel wipes out Palestine and takes their land, then all the jews can go back to their homeland - and that'll kick off the literal biblical rapture - a seven year fire and brimstone even followed by their pal jesus coming down to say hi and take the Jews and The Good Christians (not those disgusting protestants etc) up to heaven, and everyone else will burn in hell forever as they deserve.

That's not a bit or an exaggeration, by the way - these people actually believe this is a Thing That Must And Will Happen, which is why Israel gets so much US support from both sides - anyone who loses the evangelical vote (by say, being against child marriage or genocides) loses the election.

It's a huge, huge problem in US politics that will never be addressed because no-one can afford to do it.
