Seriously dude - contact Simon Milek and explain the situation and your desires.

Honest. Takes very expensive timepieces via post - fully insured. Very reasonable pricing.

Cheers Mik really appreciate it.

I used to get it serviced and repaired back in Dublin in the same shop where it was bought but that shop is gone now. Several generations ran it but then the younger ones didn’t carry it on.

There’s a really good place in Northampton but for a watch like mine, they want to post it to another place but I was nervous, not knowing anything about them. An actual recommendation counts for a lot

I’ve spoken to Omega in Switzerland about it and the providence etc - they offered to take it for a full restoration but with no fixed costs it could end richer than I can afford.

I’ll check out your suggestion

Best thing to do is speak to him.

If you want to retain the patina it has today - he’ll do that. If you want him to make it look like it just left the factory - he’ll do that.

I don't need much of an excuse to buy a watch and the ebay offer twisted my arm.

Just waiting for the ebay authenticity guarantee to clear.

Lovely! I would love a GS one day. That must be a good deal, I don't remember seeing any model at that price point. What does that one normal retail at?

That looks really nice. What size is it?

List is £5350 and used they are normally advertised for 3-4k.

Size is 40mm so not at all as large as it looks on photos.

I'm not an expert, but I think it's one of these (in a different colour obvs).

Which would mean 40.5mm.

That site would also confirm you got it much cheapness. Love you longtime.

edit: John confirmed as I was typing this crap.....

That is smaller than I thought GS tended to be - even more appealing. And great price; I'd look at GS a lot more if they were available at that sort of level.

That's a very good price. Too small for me, but very nice looking nonetheless.

Given how bullish the watch market is, I'd be immediately sceptical of something that's significantly cheaper than it should be

There is no need for the seller to be selling that much under market, so why are they?

There are others on Chrono24 for c. £2.5k (in the UK - Japanese market ones are available for 1500 plus shipping) so seems low but not "definitely broken"! Fingers crossed...

ETA - actually I'm wrong £3,250 in the UK seems to be the cheapest for that particular colour bezel/hand combo...
