Other two MINIs ? The diesel one is long gone and my wife loves her convertible so that's not going anywhere.

If the Vito goes I'm pondering selling the Cayenne as well and putting the money from all three into a nice Range Rover.
High Peak Autos (on YouTube) just did a video on an L405 he got a good deal on. First year V8 Autobiography in black.

A L405 would be lovely but with the V8 they seem to start at £25k and that's more than I'd be comfortable with. MINI + Vito + Cayenne is likely to be no more than about £15k to play with.

OK, starting at £24k:

L322 is much cheaper, only a year older:

You posted a couple on ebay similar to the one you've just sold (both needing work, both probably sold by now). It seems you've a taste for them, maybe sort a convertible for Carlos next? :P

This seemed too cheap. Has sold, was a bit far to go for a nose though.

Do any of you guys have a convertible that lives outside?
We have two :D but one is nearly sixty years old and lives under a cover, and is probably not quite what you had in mind anyway.

My wife's MINI is a convertible, does not have a cover, and is fine. It does get used pretty much daily though. I think the main thing is to keep them aired. The Cayenne & the Compact are both a little damp inside through lack of use, neither are convertibles.
My ex had a Beetle convertible which lived outside. It was also used regularly so got aired; the biggest problem would be the build up of green round the hood. I also always felt like I was making the good less waterproof every time I washed it, but that may have just been paranoia.

Someone on another forum is selling a 308cc for 1200 quid.

Apparently watertight and a decent length of MOT on it.

Oh, right ! I'm having a burst of being sensible atm, clearing some space. But I guess I won't rule it out if a good opportunity arises...

No interest in the Vito yet. It's a bit more specialist I guess.
Reckon the Vito might sell more easily as spring comes around.

Too much of a stretch right now :(

But because I'm a nightmare all round I'm browsing barges generally and wondering if I might be old enough for a Mercedes now. This looks like a lot of barge for the money:

You're definitely old enough for an S-Class.

Decided to show the cars some love today as they were both filthy. The Galaxy especially so.

Got the hoover out and within five minutes all three children were fighting about who got to help with what. So instead of 45 mins of hoovering and cleaning windows, it was double that of "being helped" and then assuring the results. However, both cars are now much cleaner inside and I took the Galaxy to the local carwash for a "regular outside". It is a lot cleaner, but has all the hallmarks of a rush job. But, for £12 it is good enough.

Galaxy also yielded a 1p coin, a Santa rubber (for pencils), a sparkly hair clip, two unidentified bits of toys, and a pen cap.

maybe even by me! The Vito certainly did a few (large) taxi runs though didn't it - just the "paying" part was a little off! 😀

I had a sneaking suspicion that my annoying check engine light was caused by the parking sensors as each time I put it in reverse it was triggering it. Changed out the dead ones and so far I don’t have any in an hour of driving and turning the car off and on many times.

Nice one! Always satisfying when you can fix something like that in one attempt.

I had planned to swap out the broken grille on the M2 today but it's absolutely miserable, wet weather so will have to be one for next week now. Looks like the whole bumper has to come off to do it.
Cheers,

Mike.

I’m assuming I’ve got a leak on the screen wash system on the x5 somewhere, it seems to use about 7l a week with barely any washer action.

I need to start making lists, would be nice to get some niggly jobs done when the weather allows so when it actually turns decent I can crack on with the bigger projects.
Cheers, Harry

Shirley you've got a plug-in diagnostics which would tell you what was causing that before buy-fit-and-hope?

Yeah the diagnostics tell me the exhaust valve is faulty. The car doesn’t have one fitted and it’s had that error message for 10 years however recently it was triggering the CEL whenever I put it in reverse whereas before it was only a few times a year. Another check with the diagnostics told me 2 parking sensors were out. Therefore the parking sensor error message was also triggering a CEL for the non existent valve somehow.
