The Sheffield franchise is jct600 as with the vw one I used they aren't very good unforts. Kept me waiting 30 mins when picking up the car last time when they fitted a badge and presented me with a report saying I needed 3.5ks of work doing. When my bumper got crunched the body shop ordered the part from them, it was supplied as non sports edition. The next one came, got sprayed and the paintshop noticed no reversing sensor hole mounts with it.Carlos wrote: Wed Jan 25, 2023 6:33 pmI used Porsche Cardiff for servicing my 996 as the fixed price work they did was really good value and they would often price match for additional work if needed. They were great to deal with.Broccers wrote: Wed Jan 25, 2023 12:15 pm
Speaking of old bangers Porsche Sheffield has included 997 / 987s in its classic offering where;

Thanks for the heads up on this. We're Derby based, but often in that area looking for new coffee venues.Broccers wrote: Sun Jan 29, 2023 2:20 pm Went out with my mates in their rover 600 and 911 this morning to a new cars and coffee place near chatsworth. They've got a good place there so worth popping in if you are near Baslow (road to chesterfield about a mile on the right).

Might be some truth in that. A quick google suggests caster on the 4C is 1.5Deg nominal, vs nearly 3.0 Deg on a similarly weighty and non-PAS V6 Exige. Which is known for a heavy helm at low speeds. Evora (obvs heavier and with PAS) is over 5Deg.Matty wrote: Mon Jan 30, 2023 11:00 pm
Also interesting titbit on the PH thread; apparently the reason for the poor steering on the 4C was that it was originally designed to be a superlight car; 800kg, hence the lack of PAS. As development went on, they blew past the weight target so needed to dial the caster angle back to almost zero, hence the twitchy steering.
Doesn't really explain how Lotus still manage it, and they're around the same weight.
I'm running Alfaworks handling blocks; caster is ~4deg on mine (or should be) so quite a bit higher. I've never driven a standard one so no idea how it compares....but it's only heavy <5mph. Despite that, it's still pretty twitchy on bumpy roads and it's certainly not as easy as a Lotus on a standard UK B-road!mik wrote: Mon Jan 30, 2023 11:26 pmMight be some truth in that. My eNiro is in for its first annual service on Friday, am expecting a full washer fluid bottle and a valet for my £75KevH18 wrote: Tue Jan 31, 2023 1:56 pm Kona EV back from it's first service this morning at just over 11k miles. One of the tyres is down to 2.5mother front is 3m so have requested for them to be replaced under the lease agreement. Will look to try and get all-seaons as it's a bit fiesty in the wet. If not, as they're quite a bit more expensive, will get PS5s to replace the Primacy 4s that are on as they're actually cheaper from some reason. Might lose a little bit of range but douht it will be much.
They 'washed' it, which I think was just spraying it with a hose for a couple of minutes.
1500 mile adblue warning came on a couple of days ago, mileage around 60,300, so 10 litres does indeed get you about 7000 miles. I managed to open my spare 10l canister of Adblue by accident last weekend when I wanted to top up the washers; didn't pour any into the washer bottle, I'm pleased to sayJobbo wrote: Tue Nov 08, 2022 4:14 pmI decided I didn't want to live with the nagging each time I start the car so I topped up the adblue with 10l today - I think it has about a 17l capacity so wouldn't take the whole of the second 10l canister if I'd bothered to open that, and it's definitely less messy if you don't brim it because it splashes back. Since this forum is my record of when I top up, I even checked the mileage exactly: 53,284. The 1500 mile warning came on less than 100 miles ago though was still showing 1500 miles' adblue remaining. I guess I'll get about 7000 miles from 10l; I'll come back to this to check.Jobbo wrote: Mon Nov 07, 2022 4:46 pm Audi adblue warning came on as I drove home from Jon’s yesterday. 53,200 miles on the clock; I was expecting it to come on and bought 20l a week ago, so pretty accurate timing. I’ll live with the warnings for a week and fill up next weekend.
