I suppose there are worse donor cars than the donor car that shall not be named.

Interesting how when you own a special/interesting car like this, you almost have a duty to exhibit them at concours. Just to show others and talk about them.

Am really liking that colour choice, I think it strikes a great balance between fresh and authentic to the cars era. Should look special when it's all done.

Interesting that whoever worked on it before took all the sound damping sheet out.

It was probably soaked through.

Video too long, sorry. >25 minutes on 'looking at the colour' when we've already seen it before? I like Harry's vids normally but this one was simply too long.

Funny you say that cos I skipped right through most of it earlier. Very unusual for a HG vid.

Interesting to hear he's keeping the wheels that are on it. I'm not on board with that decision.

Fully support it, I hate big wheels on old cars.
Didn't think it was too long either, lots of nerdy detail on how they're going to finish the whole project.

Same, I hate the big wheels on the Retropower restomod XJC
No need to go bigger or wider if he's not putting more power into it.

I think the retropower one looks just about perfect
I also prefer the steelies with chrome caps to the ones Harry has so
I actually think it would look great on some of the steelie look alloys the retropower Mk2 jag is on.

I'm a bit the same, reserving judgement until I see them refinished. I'm not sure what else I'd go for though.

Pretty sure he stated in the video that is because it would impact the way it drives. And the car is explicitly for driving.
Seems sensible enough, if you like the high profile narrow tyres and how that affects the way the car drives given the power it has then why would your put 275 section 18s on it instead?
