Part ex'd my formerly beloved Outback against a slightly newer, slower one. It's a 4cyl 2.5 petrol auto
The mrs will be driving it and I gave her the choice of a Rav4/CX5/CRV/Xtrail but she went for the Subaru.
The bodywork isn't perfect but tbh that's less painful for me in the long run because her 3 year old suzuki has more dents and scrapes than my 14 year old car as it is.
It's been well serviced and drives nicely. Higher up than my old one and much more floaty/SUV'ish. Feels bigger and more relaxing to drive. Not quick by any means but goes alright. The auto box is far better than my old one. Might even crack 30mpg on a good day which is nice even though it's surely still unacceptable to Nathan. It's got an off-white interior which is much nicer than usual dismal black imo.
They stopped selling petrol ones in the EU a couple of years back as they weren't shifting many. As a result, unfucked ones are few and far between. Hopefully we'll get a few years out of this one. Had my old car for a record 8 years

I must say I'm rather taken with my new Focus. Ford really seem to know how to make cars these days, the infotainment system is very good, everything works very well and has a quality feel to it.
Only criticism would be that you sit quite high and it feels like a big car for its class.
Still, should be a faithful servant over the next couple of years.

Yeah, mine's an ST-line. It is bloody guttless, but has most of the toys and trimmings.

Not my fleet as such, but mid-week I got asked if I could advise my sis in law wrt a new car, and on Friday night it turned into โcan you take me to look at some on Saturdayโ.
Not how I had planned to spend Saturday, but hey ho.
She wanted car 12-18m old. And she wanted an A3. Or a 1-series. Or a Qashqau. Or a Juke. Or a Golf. Or am Avensis.
So we went to Motorpoint to see a range and eventually agreed she wanted a 1-series. Good. Now we can get somewhere.
Very long story short (why are salesmen such TAUCs?) she just left a(n actual) deposit on a 118i Sport. Which is of course a 1.5 petrol turbot.
Nice car for the money

The Mother-in-law wanted to take all 5 of her grand-children to Longleat this weekend, so we said she could borrow our bus. Unfortunately, it came back smelling absolutely foul, like burnt clutch, & a quick drive up the road confirms she has absolutely fucked it. How she has done this is beyond me. She must have ridden that clutch the entire way round. It's a good job it didn't catch fire.
Needless to say, I am thoroughly pissed off.
Fucking family

I just don't lend cars to people any more. It's just too likely that they come back if not actually fucked, but at least....different.
