Me too, but I’m unlikely to get overly involved in the social side.

This is why I do everything myself and the bikes never see the inside of a dealer or indy.
Does this impact resale values like with a car?
Genuine question, asking for a friend...

Dunno tbh, I never really sell stuff

Put it this way - if I was buying a bike off someone who did all maintenance as per the handbook, and logged the date, miles, parts and consumables used, even done to which fluids etc were used - I'd have the guy's arm off compared to a handbook full of stamps.

Makes sense...
Bikes aren’t cars - you can go mental fast for the price of a city car but mechanically relatively straight forward.
Performance of a Supercar, Mechanics of a Super mini.
Electrics aside...

Electrics in what way? The GS911 I mentioned earlier gives you near-desler levels of diagnostics on the BMWs for example.

Oh right...
I was thinking stuff like the Engine Mgt system would be as complex as a cars on the big bikes..

It's a mystery isn't it. I still don't really understand his points above.

I ordered new number plates for my bikes (I was bored). I intended to go down a size so they looked better without being obviously too small. I got the size wrong. I suppose I could wear them as a badge

OK, it doesn’t look quite as tiny now it’s fitted to the bike:
