Whats the benefit of registering as high risk?
You can get on the priority list for home delivery slots for supermarkets. Also means that if you can't get out you can get boxes of essential goods delivered that have been provided by the Gov't. Unless you're in Rochdale where they seem to think that means lots of chocolate and biscuits and just the one apple!

It also makes sure that the appropriate NHS records that may be referred to in the worst case are correct as far as I can tell. The letters and texts that they were supposed to issue haven't materialised for some people (wife included) which wold suggest that many are slipping through the cracks. THere's also plently of reports of letters received for people that died a long time ago. Again, all points back to the shambolic state of our NHS records.
Ill need to look at that for the folks. Mum should be on there as she had cancer a couple of years ago.
This is specifically for those on the extremely vulnerable list Scott so possibly they don't fall into that group.

Link is here: https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus-extremely-vulnerable

"People falling into this extremely vulnerable group include:

Solid organ transplant recipients.

People with specific cancers:
people with cancer who are undergoing active chemotherapy
people with lung cancer who are undergoing radical radiotherapy
people with cancers of the blood or bone marrow such as leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma who are at any stage of treatment
people having immunotherapy or other continuing antibody treatments for cancer
people having other targeted cancer treatments which can affect the immune system, such as protein kinase inhibitors or PARP inhibitors
people who have had bone marrow or stem cell transplants in the last 6 months, or who are still taking immunosuppression drugs
People with severe respiratory conditions including all cystic fibrosis, severe asthma and severe COPD.

People with rare diseases and inborn errors of metabolism that significantly increase the risk of infections (such as SCID, homozygous sickle cell).

People on immunosuppression therapies sufficient to significantly increase risk of infection.

Women who are pregnant with significant heart disease, congenital or acquired."

So I’ve been cooped up in the study for much of the day on constant Zoom calls.

The kids are actually being really good with their home-schooling v playing v exercise and my wife is keeping us all in check. SHe’s getting out a fair bit but horse and dog stuff is curbed a bit due to the sensible guidance in place.

So, I popped down a while ago to make a cup of tea and was greeted by this in the kitchen. I didn’t even ask why, but did make sure to ask my wife if she’s feeling ok and she says she’s “fine”, so I’ve just gone back up to the study and will see how this develops.
His tie's not straight.

Blimey, you’re spikey today.

How about using real sentences, then people might understand your ramblings.

Is it 1030? Are you bored. Keep it on topic boys. London pricks like your friends are the people not taking the threat seriously.

Nope but I’m curious

Anyway, what’s all this about a £10k small business grant? Or I could google it I guess

my original post was asking for help - I didn’t understand the sentence so was just asking what it meant.

Genuinely glad I did now!

We’re past 10.30pm now and I haven’t heard any amazing new announcements.

revsRus, any business with premises which attract small business rates relief should be automatically entitled to a £10k grant; this was one of the first announcements to protect business. Seems ages ago now. Anyway, if you have business premises and get rates relief then check the website of the local authority and see how you go about claiming it. It’s a grant, not a loan.
