Looks like we have a Business Analyst role, Operational Risk Lead role, and some Underwriting Vacancies.
I can get details from someone and email you it if interested, not sure where they will be based.

I'm not a big fan of Insurance. It's too straight laced for me but thanks for the offer.

Use Chat GPT to do them for you then edit to make it seem more human, the results it produces are amazing.

The amount of ChatGPT applications were getting where people don't even bother to proof read is hilarious.
"I'm pleased to submit my application for [Company Name]"
Straight in the bin. Hopefully you both sort something out, since I've been here we've always had 10-15 vacancies at any time. At the moment....we have 1

How is the job hunting going people/ It's a flipping car crash here. I can't put into words my disdain for recruiters, hiring managers or TA. Unbelievable the way that they treat people, from reaching out and then ghosting you to plain lying about roles etc.
I think I'm nearly at the point of stopping looking. I feel mentally so far from the world of IT now that it feels like to go back would be to big a change in my career now. That and I don't think I'll need another job shortly.

Like always it is a game of patience. Nobody else in the process has a sense of urgency.
I've got applications out, I've been rejected for about three, having some conversations. All the usual stuff really. My focus is on maintaining a positive attitude and not let it impact my mental health. I'm setting myself a set amount of time each day, and that's it. No doom-scrolling or second-guessing on jobs I've decided not to apply for.
Sounds like you've had it rough though.

I've just had a second interview cancelled which is quite irritating. There's some interesting roles out there, thought.
Apropos of nothing, has anyone got any experience of setting up an onlyfans account?

I've now cancelled a second interview because I've accepted a 3 month contract in Tewkesbury. While it's not quite £1,000 a day, it's enough to get me out of the shit as I was under a week away from running out of liquid funds.
The second interview was a place that was a string of red flags all being held by the owner who seemed to have trust issues and not like anything invented after 1979.

That's a good save, and buys you time. Good news.
Things are slow, but there is some progress.

Yeah. They've let things get a little out of hand and need help getting things back under control. The guy I'll be reporting too seems sound, the commute is ok, it's 2 days in the office so I'm pretty happy.
Could go further but I'm still applying for perm roles.

TL;DR: Jobhunting still sucks.
It never ceases to amaze me how so many companies and people are perfectly happy to give a p*sspoor first impression to potential candidates and/or fail to treat people wanting to work with them with any respect. All the usual:
1) zero responses to applications
2) zero responses except a "we've received it". Then what?
3) promises to call back/respond within x days/weeks and then tumbleweeds. After you've spoken to someone
4) rejections arriving within minutes of submitting an application telling me that after "careful consideration" they are progressing other candidates
5) recruiters that don't respond
6) recruiters promising anything (mostly. Always exceptions to the rule)
7) "talent managers" that themselves demonstrate a significant lack of that which they are supposedly managing
Tally so far is 45ish applications submitted, 20+ still without any response one way or another. Countless conversations, final stage interview for one role later today, one intro call done, another next week, promises of interviews for three other roles, but nothing confirmed.

All par for the course with job hunting and recruiters, unfortunately. I’m not currently looking but I’ve been approached a couple of times recently and dialogue has started then they vanish into thin air.
Good luck with the interviews.
