I always seem to enjoy chips more from worse areas.

My local pub does some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had, for a fiver, the curry sauce comes in a gravy boatintegrale_evo wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 11:31 am My curry sauce stays in the little pot so food can be dipped into it.

I really don’t know how they make any money out of it, I guess they rely on people buying a pint whilst they wait. The chippy over the road from us is about £7 for a large fish supper I think.Pete_ wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 1:11 pm There's a good chippy near my that I've started going to quite often, being in Shoreditch it's ridiculously expensive (£11.something for a fish supper) but it's good and not hipster.
What's the going rate where you are?
No sauce or mushy peas for me, just salt and vinegar. Boiled frozen peas or a small salad are good sides but I don't usually bother with that.
Just over £6 for a standard cod and chips that I struggle to finish.Pete_ wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2020 1:11 pm There's a good chippy near my that I've started going to quite often, being in Shoreditch it's ridiculously expensive (£11.something for a fish supper) but it's good and not hipster.
