Tron founder Sun faces SEC fraud charges, joins Trump venture as advisor
I mean, who's shocked? Who's really shocked?

The subtext, surely, being:
Tron founder Sun faces SEC fraud charges, joins Trump venture as advisor on doing more fraud by explaining why he got caught in the first place and how giving donald a few million dollars will make it all go away and they can both do lots more fraud in the future.

Well, I mean, obviously.

Someone's begging for a pardon in exchange for advice on what they did wrong.

Oh. Yeah. Totes.

I spent a year in America on a university exchange programme, some thirty years ago now, I’m starting to ponder tracking down some of my then-acquaintances and asking them WTAF is going on. Being university folk the sample is obviously skewed but I bet some of them are full blown sucky-sucky MAGA.

It’s amazing that people keep falling for this tbh. People have abusive relationships with their governments.

At this point I'm resigned to the fact that they deserve it. If they voted for him they deserve it. If they stayed at home because Harris was a <gasp> black woman then they deserve it. If they didn't feel enthused to get out their and vote for the alternative then they deserve it.

It was roughly split in thirds:

One third voted for Donald
One third voted for Kamala
One third didn’t vote

So there is one third of the country that doesn’t deserve it, tbf.

The other two thirds though. They’ll swallow whatever they’re fed. They’ll genuinely believe that everything that goes wrong over the next four years is the Democrats’ fault and giving Donald a third term will fix it.

It’s not like we’re immune.

Working people voting against their interests because they believe conservative lies is basically how conservatives win

Our next election will be interesting with Elon funding Farage.

How's that going for Labour?

I see the Waspi women are the latest to fall foul of false promises. Not that it's the wrong decision imo.

They'll control

- the Presidency
- the House of Congress
- the Senate
- the Supreme Court

And still it'll all be someone else's fault

They got what they wanted, four years to set themselves up in a sweet consultancy.
