We are having an Ohme Home Pro fitted next Tuesday morning.
1. Tethered cable I assume? Much better when it’s just for your own use.
2. Fitting on/in your garage? We also have a remote garage and the existing supply to it wasn’t beefy enough (32A) so they had to run a new armoured cable from our house fuse box to the garage. They wanted to just staple this to the side of the house - I said non - so the install is much cleaner, but they used a little more cable (about 35m total).

Tethered cable, absolutely. Only need to plug in one end when we get home.
When the solar was installed in February, I specified that the install needed to be ready for a car charger - the only reason I didn't have one fitted at the time was that I didn't have an EV and, as the fitters pointed out, I'd be using up the warranty not even knowing if it worked. So they installed a larger power cable underground between the meter and the the garage, and left space in the new consumer unit fitted in the garage for a few EV chargers to be added in future if required. We will find out on Tuesday whether their work has indeed made it an easy job to add the charger...
I'm sure it won't be long until many families have two EVs. Locating the first charger is usually fairly obvious, but I'm not sure that's the case for a second charger for most people. It wouldn't be for us because we don't park right next to the house or garage normally.

Ohme Home Pro charger installed. It's just inside the car port so the cable will reach to charge something outside too, but for the moment the Jimny is relegated. The Mini is either going to be sold or going to my stepdaughter soon.

That's smaller than I was expecting the charger unit to be. Is there another bit hidden away somewhere or is that it?

Cool looking fleet there Jobbo! R5 looks lovely, but can’t help wondering if an elec Macan would’ve killed two birds with one stone? Im obviously stuck in n-1 man-maths mode!

They always fit the diesel generator round the back - out of view.

That's it - just the thick cable to the consumer unit which is the one disappearing through the wall. I was a bit annoyed that I didn't have any of the cladding boards spare; a thin wedge-shaped piece to mount the charger more flush to the wall would have been much more visually pleasing than the offcut of board I had available. We considered mounting it at an angle flat to the boards but that felt weird.

Yes. It was on 99% when I picked it up yesterday. Drove it home (no running in, woohoo) and left it overnight and it was on 95%. So to check the charger was working I did have to take it up to 100%. I probably will every time I charge it

My wife wanted something bigger than the Macan, and an electric Macan is not notably bigger than the petrol one. She also didn't want an EV as her main car. It remains to be seen how much she uses the R5; I am not sure I can yet steal it to use myself but I'd really like to. She's lucky it's sunny so I automatically chose the MX5 to come to work today.
