In the movies it's not explained but the first person Venom bonded with in the comics was Spiderman.
Ahhhhhh. That makes much more sense. I've not seen Spiderman 3 in years, but that was shown there now you mention it.

It's a shame that they probably won't do the original comics Venom origin at this point. The MCU would be an ideal place to do the Secret Wars story that it came from.

yep, it's right up there isn't it. Amazing film, Paddy Considine is just brilliant.

Although it also has (imo) a terribly casted car. I'm a big fan of appropriately cast vehicles for characters, and to me the 2CV is distractingly wrong.

Spotlight

2015 film about the Boston Globe's investigation into the Catholic Church at the beginning of the 00's. Really good. My sort of movie. Great Cast. Mark Ruffalo is made for this sort of role - See also Zodiac, Dark Water et al. but to be fair, Liev Schreiber is a bit underused. Very well made film

87 Paedo Priests out of a possible 90

Spiderman - No way home

Took my kids to see it last night - the first half was boring set up stuff and I, for the first time ever, nodded off in the cinema. 2nd half was your standard Spiderman stuff. My kids loved it, and the audience whooped and cheered and applauded at the end. This made me feel very old.

Kids: Best film they've ever seen - 10 webslings out of 10

Me: It was OK. 5 it didn't have Emma Stone in it, and I'm too old to perv at Zendaya. Aunt May is a tough wank out of 10

The feedback for Spiderman is pretty damn good and their movies are like catnip to me so I'm taking the girl to see it on Monday night.

I started watching Spiderman - Far from home last night and turned it off. It's deffo aimed at a much younger demographic than I but it was crap and I couldn't sit through it.

I thought Lamb would be the strangest movie I saw this year, but then I watched Titane, the next movie from the director who did Raw. I'm not entirely sure what I watched, but its about a French girl who REALLY likes cars.

Definitely not one for the squeamish or for those who can't suspend their sense of disbelief in a "well that would never happen" sort of a way when watching something like Godzilla.

I knew nothing at all about it but really liked Raw so wanted to go in to it and be surprised. Which I most definitely was... I'm not entirely sure I enjoyed it and I think its flawed regardless of what you think of the premise. Have seen its incredibly well-rated on Rotten Tomatoes, but not sure how much of that is down to the "Emperor's New Clothes" thing where people gush about a movie because they think they're meant to like it.

All in, very confusing.
