We had plenty of snow and ice a couple of days ago, the back end came round on the X1 just turning a corner in our estate but probably not helped by new Eagle F1 on the front and no name ditchfinders on the rear.

Just a whole load of rain here.

There was a lot or white lumpy bits in it and only showing 1c when I left at 7am, but went back to rain, so was pretty borderline. A degree or so cooler would have made a difference.
Cheers, Harry

2° feels like -9° here atm, lots of water about ready to freeze later. It's been more eventful on the coast, will find the pics...

Sandgate looks like a bomb went off.
How about not having a sig at all?

I made the mistake of not clearing the snow off the cars yesterday and after a slight thaw the melting snow has now frozen solid overnight

It's actually worse round here now that yesterday; it was only snow which was getting cut through easily and largely slush underneath...now that's all frozen and my main road is like an ice rink. I've not seen anyone go out yet!

Also, I guess this is relevant here...great little short clip on the effectiveness of winter/all/summer tyres and compounds:

My Aunt and Uncle in hythe said the gales have been pushing parked cars around. The sea wall is down so lots of flooding too.

Beautiful sunny day in Cheltenham, we’re off for a walk.

Had to get the snow shovel out this morning to clear off the drive to get the car out (uphill exit)

Followed immediately by……

Having to clear an inch thick layer of frozen hailstones off the works drive. Snow shovel wouldn’t cut it so had to do it all the old fashioned way with a steel shovel. Pictures from this afternoon, the salts got to work nicely for reversing back down

Vans on full winters, but the drive is significantly steeper than it looks in photos

Looks like there was some decent flooding here, my mum says the bank which you can just see the edge of on the left hand side turned into a 200ft wide waterfall

Went to the woods in the morning to see if any trees had gone down. I knew I was in trouble as I turned into the driveway as it was just a sheet of ice and I was in the Mito. Slid very slowly down the hill, parked it, then on my return spent about 15 minutes shuffling back and forth until I could get a tyre on a patch of tall grass which gave me enough grip and momentum to slingshot myself out

Been checking the weather cams over Carter Bar as I am off to Hull later as I have a family funeral tomorrow. Wish I had the all season tyres from the Superb on the Audi, I suspect with correct tyres it would tackle most no drift snow.

Yep, did the same also I forgot to deice the rear screen and turned the wiper on which resulted in it spinning on the shaft but not going anywhere so now it’s park position is over the number plate! Just spent a very cold 30 minutes fixing it.
