He is African-American, that's probably a factor, despite everything else that should have disqualified him.

Unfortunately she just wasn’t enough of a character. She seems like a decent intelligent person, but that’s obviously not enough when you need to be selling yourself and what you want to achieve when in power.

They needed someone able to shout down Trumps ridiculous soundbites and point out his lies with actual facts.

Pointing out that immigration peaked while trump was in office and has actually dropped under Biden. Point out that more Americans died from covid than in all the wars in the last 150 years combined.

Like here a lot of the arguments used were based on global factors which the government had little direct control over. Inflation over the last couple of years has been a global thing but very easy to blame those in charge for some easy point scoring. People see the prices going up, the believe someone who stands there and shouts that they’re going to end inflation despite zero clues on how they’re going to do it.

Biden calling all Trump supporters trash a couple of days before the election probably wasn’t a great move either…

Not sure about that after watching this particularly depressing new Veritasium video. Once entrenched views are in play, maybe facts don't matter.

Going back to the racism and misogyny, I realised that Trump only ever won office when faced with a woman for the democrat candidate. The one time it was a safe, middle aged white man, Trump lost.

Yep, and Biden has to shoulder a fair amount of the blame here. by hanging on for so long he massively hampered Harris’ campaign run (or whoever would have ended up standing). Trump had all the momentum of primaries/etc.. whereas Harris had a few months, essentially still tied to Bidens presidency still trying to do her job.

Good point, no idea why I described Biden as middle aged, that ship has defintirly sailed

Completely agree. Biden should've said early on that he was a one term president, leaving the dems some years to build up another (middle aged white male) candidate to replace him in 24/25.

Biden was never the real president, he was just the face to give Kamala the reins because they knew she wouldn’t win the vote, a fact that has just been proven

Was that an intentional impersonation of Biden?

Confirmation that many Americans simply “couldn’t see a woman running the country”

She should have put forward some policies. it seemed the entire campaign was focused around abortion rights and answering questions about Trump. She had a nice boost at the beginning with that approach, but never moved on.

Meanwhile Trump was busy being the most talked about man in the world and making every outlandish (yet vague) policy claim possible.

Saying she didn’t win because she was a woman isn’t helpful imo.

I know it’s turning into a meme but Biden’s speech addressing Trump’s victory is odd. He actually looks like he has a new lease of life, can walk properly, talk properly without slurring. A throwback to 2020.
Maybe Harris was drugging him all this time to replace him 😂

Kamala was basically running the country during Bidens term as president, they used Biden as the face because the Americans wouldn’t vote for a black female candidate.

What do you base that statement on? That requires quite a lot of evidence to back up.

We're in a post-truth world. If people want to believe it, it's true. Lack of evidence is just proof it's already been covered up by teh deep state.

Are any of the online betting platforms offering odds on Musk being president in five years or less ?

That'd be amazing.

Go from "deport all immigrants" to "immigrants for president".
