Re: Today’s want
Great side-by-side shots of first and last Countach(es?)
HarryM always mentions that the early periscopo cars are lower - very visible here.
And also visible is what an abomination the Anniversary was with those clunky side skirts and fussy wheels etc. Even the tail lights are ruined….

Re: Today’s want
Was the anniversary ever considered nice looking? Basically, was it acceptable in the eighties?
Re: Today’s want
Only without the rear spoiler.
Re: Today’s want
It was acceptable at the time
Re: Today’s want
Needs the 325i engine and not be sold already, but I love this.
Re: Today’s want
Nice, always liked those late colourful E30 cabs. Excellent interior too, though doubtless somebody will suggest it’d be nicer in black leather

Nah, JIC
As mentioned before, I miss the days when the "premium" brands would do nice fabric interiors.

It would be better if they would just fuck off with the hoover stripes……Jobbo wrote: Mon May 02, 2022 11:52 am Nice, always liked those late colourful E30 cabs. Excellent interior too, though doubtless somebody will suggest it’d be nicer in black leather![]()

Re: Today’s want
Was just browsing some ex-mod stock after chatting to the neighbour.
Him "I just bought a Scimitar last week"
Me "Oh cool"
Him "Yeah, it originally had a Jaguar 4.2 petrol but this one was changed to the much more desirable Cummins diesel"
Me
Him "I've got my Cat H licence test for it next month then I can take you for a spin"
I was still confused as anything at this point until he whipped out a video of him hooning a Scimitar of the armoured vehicle variety round a field and it finally made sense.

How about not having a sig at all?

That’s an odd one, I drive one as a wee Cadet in around 1999 and it was awesome, really went well and revved much more than expected. It was like driving a Defender in low ratio and not realising.Mito Man wrote: Mon May 02, 2022 9:27 pm Was just browsing some ex-mod stock after chatting to the neighbour.

A Cummins will be vastly better but it’s top speed, the Scimitars party piece, will be much lower unless some gearing shenanigans have been done.
Dave!

Spotted a similar vintage Jeep in this (includes 70s Ford wagon muscle) post. It had more 'out of my way peasant' presence than the Cullinan.Ascender wrote: Tue May 03, 2022 3:45 pm I'm having big wants today for this:

Have always liked Golfs, but never wanted one.
@scotta photographed one at the weekend that might get dub fanbois frothing due to rarity (and condition).

I find all those Levi edition AMCs/Jeeps fascinating. They did a Gremlin with a blue denim interior.Ascender wrote: Tue May 03, 2022 3:45 pm I'm having big wants today for this:

Words cannot describe how much I hate that particular detailing trend.
Some companies have even had tools made up to lightly emboss their name into the freshly hoovered striped carpets
