Fuck me, this place is slipping in it's standards.

I see your 330Ci and raise you https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-detail ... asc&page=4
That's a really nice car....apart from the colour.

Pretty sure I could live with the colour if it genuinely has that much raw grunt.

 It's the colour that makes it!

Beany, I think that spec is for the current B3, not the e46. I think it's got around 300bhp, and that there was a Z4 version, though I haven't found any info I fully trust yet. I'm wondering if Alpina do something that'll suit Mr Newt.

The 3.3 is around 280bhp, the facelift 3.4 (B3S) is 304bhp. All the Z4s had the 3.4 engine.

Yeah, I suppose someone putting the specs in wrong on AT is hardly unknown.

That said, 280bhp in an E46 is still going to be entertainingly quick at worst, but it does make that colour less forgivable....

The colour is awesome. Mine was very boring in black on black.

Well...this one with still very low miles sold for 7 grand https://www.historics.co.uk/buying/auct ... -46-litre/. Maybe you could ask double for one with delivery miles. Still leaves its true value 25k shy of what they're asking!

8-) (if six years ago). Slightly o/t, why do so many lpg conversions have the filler hacked into a rear quarter?

I have “always” been aware of of the ZT260, but I don’t think I ever knew there was a softer V8 version of the 75. :?

It has the same issue though - with 252bhp from 4.6litres it is about 80bhp shy of where it needs to be in order to ignite any sort of desire…. :?

And that's why supercharger kits are a thing ;)

I always found the Rover version more interesting tbh. The shiteness of that Ford V8 wasn't so much of a disappointment, it was more in character with old Rover V8s.

Also, the MG version of the 75 always looked like your dad in a tracksuit.

Don’t forget a good 70% of the mg versions have more mustang badges than a mustang

ISTR that the reason the output of the 4.6 was so low was because in higher states of tune there were significant cooling issues.
