I like the glass roof, didn't realise they had that (or was it part of the £72k options?), and that it can be comparatively quiet
I don't know what spec tyres it was on but they didn't seem too bothered by the cold.

Is the reliability of these supposed to be any better than the 12C? They have passive dampers I believe (which caused a lot of problems on the 12C on account of the fluid being shared with the gearbox IIRC) which should have removed some of the complexity.

My memory is suggesting to me that Ferrari charged over £7k for the Tri-colour stripe on the 430 Stradale - but my memory is a sneaky bastard that can inflate such numbers....

I did notionally think about these before opting for the 430, but there were enough varying reports of reliability to put me off. Big bills may be likely and dealerships response to the warranties are not consistent it seems.

Seems like a classic example of maintenance costs not matching a depreciation curve!

By comparison, I've been looking at getting some nice shift paddles for the 1 series and you can get genuine carbon ones for under £200

I'm not a fan of carbon trinkets/dressing though

Also alcantara is the other joke priced material. When I was having my Defender rooflining done in it my mechanic ordered a 10 metre roll of it from Italy for £100. OEM manufacturers act like it’s extracted from virgin unicorn semen and price it accordingly

Actual alcantara is only made by one company, but there’s 1000 other companies making the same product but just can’t use the name alcantara due to licensing.
