They haven't sent one. I'm not shocked. I'll review this whole experience when it's over.
Your fleet running reports
Re: Your fleet running reports
Coilover question. KW v1 (Stainless body) vs ST-X (Galvanised) - both height adjustable, about £200 difference due to material, but otherwise identical.
Given a daily driver, and likely that once the height is set it'll never be changed, does it really matter which in terms of lifespan?

I’ve had Sts on my mito for a couple of winters and they’re fine. We live in the country so the get covered in plenty of mud and crap.
There was a much bigger price difference between the two when I got them though.
I guess it depends how long you intend keeping it and whether you care about how shiny the suspension is I guess. They’re still decent quality units, they won’t look like they came off the titanic after 5mins like most of the budget eBay stuff.

Can't wait to see the retrim, what's the timescale on getting it done?Delphi wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 9:12 am Ripped out the crappy fan controller on the Porsche and put it back to stock. Motorway temperatures are now back to normal, so I can properly enjoy the car again. The only reason I added the new one was to fix the fans running on and flattening the battery after switch off. I've temporarily fixed this by disconnecting the bonnet switch which kills the fans as soon as the ignition is switched off. After seeing examples of my chosen trimmers work (including a full interior retrim on a 928 GTS), the Mrs has green lit a full job on mine instead of just seats and carpets.
XC40 has gone in for a service. They've given me a poverty spec (relatively speaking) manual(!) XC40 loan car.

I'm going to pop up and see him in a couple of weeks. It will depend on his schedule but probably September. Respray is coming first.speedingfine wrote: ↑Tue Mar 22, 2022 7:23 am

This is the GTS he did a couple of years ago. https://www.instagram.com/p/BylONJkAMKY/
If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

Nice but please don't get your steering wheel trimmed like that There's a load of people on my Caterham groups getting fat a-la-cantara rims and it's a crime.Delphi wrote: ↑Tue Mar 22, 2022 1:04 pmI'm going to pop up and see him in a couple of weeks. Looks great @Delphi .
Not sure if I have mentioned my love for 928 rear seats previously, but is there any better “+2” seat design than these?

My wife would beg to differ when my son insists on going out in the Porsche! His booster seat is in the front passenger seat so she has to go in the back!
@speedingfine Don't worry, I'm sticking with leather for the steering wheel. No alcantara whatsoever!

Are they comfortable though? I don't think any chiropractor has ever said "what you really need it more curvature of the spine"
Re: Your fleet running reports
Erm, bought an exige nearly 4 years ago.
Sorted it out , tweaked it , modified it , now really enjoying it
It looks a lot like this :
We go on track like this
Horsepowers look like this
I have been to LeMans in it
