Boxster update. Needs new rear bumper as someone's towbars smashed into it. Luckily they are honest people and will be sorting it out. Rare sports editions bumper isn't going to be cheap.

Now to work out how/where to fit these…
You know the grease trick?

And, we have #rally
Still have the main latch attached. I guess the point is that this is the sole retaining mechanism? Maybe the main latch is needed for the MOT but then I get an MOT without seatbelts so maybe I’m allowed to remove it.

You don’t have to keep the factory latch as far as I’m aware, the bonnet just has to be securely attached.

Repeat after me. Measure twice. Drill once. Measure twice. Drill once

What are the protrusions on the bonnet near where the pins come through? They look like they'd cause problems at an SVA, not sure if an MOT is bothered about them.

Thanks Harry.
Mito - is close enough
Simon - those are to attach the stays from the spotlights when fitted. Black brackets for those are welded on, just visible at bottom of shot.

I'm assuming there still is room to attach the stays where one of the pins is quite close to it?

Not had an inconsistent pedal since the weekend, so not sure what the crack is with that - perhaps just the pads 'locating' or something?
So might not need that caliper.
I think next month I might invest in a cheap pressure bleeder kit and flush the fluid through though, it's a few years old at this stage and doing that would do no harm.
Could also do with an oil change, coolant change, and while I'm at it, gearbox and diff oil change, and then I can reset the service interval with some confidence.
We'll see how 'flush' (ho hooooo!) I feel come next payday....

Yes. Knew it wouldn't be cheap. Can't be fixed apparently.

ring your insurer - they won't be sorting it direct.
