Have you considered this for a 'Dragon's Den' appearance?

Vito - MOT passed. 4000 miles covered in it this year with a full set of all season tyres and front discs and pads fitted.

Scimitar mini-update, MOT passed at my parents’ local garage whom they know very well and who have done a fair amount of work on the car in the past. No advisories logged on the system but a “verbal advisory” <taps side of nose> that one of the headlights isn’t really bright enough. Probably an earthing problem. Fibreglass cars are absolute buggers for earthing problems.

So dragons this is my idea- the tracker will first fully disable the brake pedal, then it will release any seatbelts that have been fastened, then the car will deadlock the doors, disabling the interior handles and take full driving control, before utilising the cars built in sat nav to guide it to the nearest river and driving into the deepest part

If that's your intention, why release the seat belts?

For maximum psychological torture whilst in the process of murdering someone the odd bit of false hope which is then quickly negated is desirable

Today I finished fabricating the steering column for my elise.

In a couple of weeks the car goes on holiday to have a full exhaust system made.

When it comes back I need to make a wiring loom and then it'll be ready to fire up

Where are you going to the indicators, lights, ignition, etc?

And have you removed the function for the column to collapse in a crash?

I have a fancy membrane switch panel that control most if not all of the functions.

I might add indicators and dip / main beam to the wheel, haven’t decided yet.



The lower section of the column is pinned with fixings that will break with a large hit, but the reality is I’ll never drive it without harnesses and possibly even HANS device, so if I get as far as the steering column I’m already dead.

Puncture on the car so it's out of action till Friday when I get paid, unless I can get work to pay for it seeing as I'm the emergency rapid response etc for the colo datacentre space.

So that's annoying.

Can you pump it up so you can get it plugged at a tyre place? Happy to shout the dosh for the work.

From the noise it made when it went, I doubt that'll be an option.

Work have agreed to pay, so going to sort a tyres on the drive sort of affair.

Also, I had to walk into work today, like a pauper - how embarrassing.

this seems like a win win situation - you get fitter and save money.

There are other health considerations that I'm not going to discuss here, but those would need to be resolved before that were true.
