Found a 2017 one for £3500…
A 2017 won’t be the latest wave dial. I prefer the plain dial but then I have one 😄 £3,500 seems expensive though, they were £2920 new and I hadn’t anticipated that they’d increase in value. You may find a discount on a new one…

I went for black which looks amazing in bright sunlight giving the impression of changing from grey to gloss black.

Too pricey for me, but that's a good looking watch Pete. And 42mm is bang-on size-wise imho.

That was the new one I tried yesterday. The heft of it is just right - reassuringly heavy but not overly so.

https://www.chrono24.co.uk/omega/seamas ... 342871.htm that was the one I was looking at. See what you mean about the differences in dial... although I may like it more.

Ah, an Aqua Terra. I automatically thought you meant the 300m

Is £3.5k more reasonable for an AT?

I like the lines of it much more - I really prefer a more 'dressy' watch. Bare below the elbow policies mean I won't be wearing it at work, so this is something to wear for 'best' rather than an every day watch.

Also, my father has a 1964 Seamaster which has similar clean lines and has always been my inspiration for watches. I don't know the exact classification but it looks like this:

I like the Aqua Terra and while I don't have enough knowledge to have a view on the price of that one, it may be more sensible.

The thing I don't like about the AT is that it's branded a Seamaster. That just seems wrong.

The Citrine yellow Sinn 556 arrived today from Germany, it's been a fairly lengthy wait having ordered it in April. As with many watches it is difficult to show the detail in a photograph but the watch face has a really high metallic content which should look really good in the sun, unfortunately the overcast weather at the moment wouldn't play ball. The watch is 1 of 400 and 38.5mm in diameter so ideal for those who don't like larger watches. It is also available in blue, orange and green although they have all sold out now.

I do like the U1B. (Although - as usual - I am less keen on the price)

That Citrine yellow Sinn 556 is properly smart. Very classy and understated.

I took out mine (it's a '62 Seamaster) to have a look and to arrange getting it fixed.

It's comically small when compared to some modern watches...

Another public service announcement, as some of you may be interested: bloke on the Chris Ward site offering “final reduced price before it’s out up for sale elsewhere”. Almost blemish free 2019 Rolex Explorer 39mm for £7500.
