High pressure combined with barely any wind the last few days will do that. The pollution from the burning ships is a drop in the ocean compared to 70 million people going about their lives.
How about not having a sig at all?

I was looking at the air quality in Bogota, and despite much of the transport belching out a lot of fumes from their tailpipe and it being a bustling city of around 8m, the air quality was still better than at home, in rural Suffolk

I think Mitoboy is correct though. High pressure means the particulates aren’t dispersed.

You'll be pleased to hear that I got back today then, Dinny!

Last international flight until late next year, probably.

Continuing my run of not knowing what is where when, I checked the time of the equinox (pondering a drive to Sto-nenge for sunrise) and it was this morning at 9:01

Was really pinky / orange around 8pm.

I had last week off and it’s been lovely. A little chilly first thing, but plenty of lovely sun. Quite a contrast from the rubbish start to the year.

After a pretty crappy start, it already feels like we’ve had more decent days this year than the whole of last 😎

i’ve got the AW day with the lotus tomorrow. The blower motor decided to stop working last week (not that it did much) so i’m going to be extra hot! i think it’ll be “roof off, sun lotion on”.

I realised when I got home last night that I hadn't much benefited from the air-con being on in the MX5 because the roof was off. Usually it's quite nice to step out of the cool car. Might drive home with the roof up tonight

To be fair, when it goes into the high twenties or into the thirties for a few days, my brain's ability to think quickly and logically disappears and filming videos goes out the window after 10am because I'm a sweaty mess. I put an aircon unit in my office back in 2022, and it's been a game-changer during heatwaves, as I can actually keep working through the whole day.

Bloody love the warm dry sunny weather.

However hayfever has been killing me the last couple of the weeks which makes it not so much fun.

Welp, I'm basically dead in this heat.

How's everyone else surviving?
