Ron haslam race school in the rain / damp was fun. Unfortunately the pics they took were crap so didn't buy any to show you lot.
As for the BSB ride offer I didn't quite make the grade. Only 2nd from a group of 16, many who had done the day before and one 8 times. My first ever bike ride on a track and a soaking wet one at that so did ok.
Braking later is an area to improve on. The Cbr600s stop a shit load better than my k7 thou.
Anyway, I'd love to do another.

Did the bikes have ABS?

Never kicked in
Replacing the master cylinder improved mine a while ago but they arent amazing. The new gizzers seem to suffer from wanky brakes too.

I’ve got the 6 pots off the 1000 on my 750, along with EBC HH Sintered pads. They lack initial bite but stop quite well.

There's a new arrival in the works bike park - a BMW R NineT
to my untrained eye, there seems to be a few nods to the style of Desert Racer McQueen used to ride (saw a documentary on it over the weekend). Nice looking machine ...

You can get various versions of the R9T. They're nice bikes but massively expensive for what they are, IMHO. There was one at the NEC Bike Show that cost more than an S1000R. Madness.

And they have "that" engine that seems to polarise opinion more than pretty much anything in 'bike world.

"flat" twin is the most appropriate name for this layout

Even the little rape mopeds in Thailand are more fun to wring out than a BMW flat twin. The R1200R I rented in Japan had a sticker on the revcounter at 5.5k advising a change up!!
Redline was higher but there was no reason to get near it. Horrible.

If anyone is interested, I've decided to wait a bit before getting the KTM. I still really, really want one, but I'm going to wait until autumn/winter and see if I can get a deal.

Fair enough - not like you haven't got bikes to use over the summer.

I've not even had the K1200 a year yet.I'm due a whole bunch of cash in October, so it's the sensible thing to do.

All sounds a bit adult to me.

Yeah, I know. It doesn't help that MrsREV is about to come out of her contract and hasn't secured a new one yet so probably not sensible to sign up to a finance deal right now.
Although, I have decided to get this exhaust when I do buy one:

That would seem to be the only logical decision to make.

I was invited to the Bike Shed London show at Tobacco Dock a few weeks ago. A friend of mine races flat track and we were invited along as VIP guests by De Bolex which was pretty cool.
