We both loved the M240i but with a 9-month old black lab in the family now it was far from ideal. Neither of us are big 1-series or 3-series fans, so jumping over to Audi for a car she's always liked seemed a natural choice, and all the better that the most recent iteration of it is knocking on 400hp and 3.7s 0-60...
would be interesting to drive the latest gen, to see how much the new 'light weight' engine and improved torque vectoring software has improved the under steer over my one

It's an estate.

I'm not sure why this is so interesting to you lot... :?
look, we had years of you telling us all about your photography skills, then many more years of photos of your puma. You owe us some good quality photos. Regardless of the topic.

Been missing in action since the Snitz days but still following along.

Lotus is currently on an adventure round the North Coast 500:

Black van is a Ford Freda (Google it kids..) and is much more rusty than when this photo was taken. It doesn't see much camping action now due to the third entry:

The motorhome was bought for a three month sabbatical round Europe and meant to be sold when we returned. It wasn't. Apologies for poor coding/embedding skills.

Nice to see another Chausson on the forum :D

I hope you've got good security on it as that era Transit seem to be one of the most stolen vehicles at the moment.

Blimey, hi Dave. How on earth did you find this place if you’ve been away since Snitz? Is it really that long?!

Marv has been standing on a rock in the outback for a while whirling a stick with on a string thing around to draw in the old posters.

I remember this Dave occasionally posting on the old forum and I wasn't there for Snitz, so I don't think it's been quite that long.

Get a fake OBD2 port off ebay, and a disklok - it's old school but it works.

A friend had something similar, but it was a 'Rimor', which we took great delight in taking the piss out of.

Carl.

I think I did post a bit on the last one but mainly followed along. Found OV9 thanks to the mild twitter-storm over closing the last place.

Ford Freda is indeed a variant of the Mazda Bongo Friendee. Who thought a mid engined, 8 seater camper van was a great idea? Much better to travel in than a classic VW bus and you avoid the VW scene tax with T5s. Shame it’s about to fail it’s MOT as it’s really useful.

I’ve heard quite a bit about mk7 Transits being stolen. Disk locks do indeed seem to be the simplest solution. We deliberately chose a transit based one as I found it much nicer to drive than the Fiat Ducati chassis’s. It’s also the more powerful engine (150bhp?) with the 6 speed box which makes motorway’s much less painful as it’ll cruise at motorway speed without holding everyone up. It’s surprising how many overtakes you have to do when driving it. Maybe we should have a home on wheels thread?
