The whole “I don’t want anything (but I do really)” thing is something that would kill a relationship for me tbh.
Fortunately it’s never come up as the people who do that don’t seem to be interested in a perpetually broke scrub

Being on the spectrum (I call it being a blunt Yorkshire man, she calls it my little robot brain ), Jen knows not to play word games after ending up with a pack of rechargeable batteries one birthday.

To be honest, I joke about not being married but I always have something stashed away - Something related to Charles Dickens or C.S Lewis as an emergency gift. last one pressed into service was a limited edition mint coin from the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
Mommy raised no fool...

That was also in the recent season of Curb, Jeff bought two presents and then hid one as a 'reserve' in case the first present didn't hit right

I have finally learned my lesson. Any of that shit and it's "serious conversation about the relationship" time.
Andrea (GF for the last year) feels the same way, thank the maker!

It’s always a trade-off. She may have shopping bags of your hair to make you a winter gilet instead ?
Dave!

Now that's a thoughtful gift! Mind you, I can't afford to lose too much more hair from my head. She'll have to use it from my ears and back.

If I ever think my wife’s a knob I just come to this thread and read through it, I really did stumble into a great one

I do feel for you guys though, I deal with some very unreasonable people at work and there’s just no pleasing some people
