Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

This is on Netflix at the moment so I thought I'd give it a go

Gave up half way.

So long, so slow, so indulgent...

Yeah, I’ve given up on Tarantino films. He’s completely disappeared up his own arse.

Tomorrow War just wow. The dumbest movie I've seen in a very Very long time, possibly since Bloodrayne.

That's two hours of my life I'll not get back.

Avoid at all costs.

Lead lady was hot. Could have been good, massively missed mark.

It is utter tripe, isn’t it…

Also featuring machine gun magazines with several hundred bullets… which is handy…😂

Office Space. Do bother. Still the greatest "I work in IT that's like my job" film ever made.

Speaking of old comedy we’re watching Naked Gun tonight. Got more laughs than expected tbh. I was fully expecting it to be one of those films that’s aged terribly.

I mean, it's got Kate Beckinsale in it, she's easy on the eye, so there's that. I've seen worse. Seen better. 6 out of 10 for me.

A beautiful movie in every way. Took the family to see it on release and I think every adult in the cinema was having a bit of a cathartic cry at the end.

The new Pixar animation Luca is very watchable too.

Watched Gravity last night cos I fancied a moan. Yep, still shit. Did Bullock have to be pathetic? It didn't damage The Martian's story arc that Matt Damon was at least capable at the beginning of the film did it?

Another day off for dog sitting, but nearly at the vaccination finish line, so it's time to break out Crimson Tide (again) 😀

Had Hobbs and Shaw recommended to me and enjoyed it, was most surprised! The humour made it, wasn't hilarious, but good enough to lift it above the usual FF fayre.

Dark Waters

Lawyer type fayre staring Mark Ruffalo (who's always brilliant in these types of roles - see also Zodiac) about a corporate defense attorney switching to take on Du Pont over Teflon.

It's really good, excellent supporting cast (Anne Hathaway, Tim Robbins) and terrifying true story

I still love Gravity and Sandra Bullock so refuse to hear a bad word about it. I first fell for her in Speed, in much the same way as I thought I'd be marrying Kate Winslet after Titanic.

Gravity also remains as the only 3D movie which worked. 3D was the Emperor's New Clothes of tech but Gravity made great use of it.

I went to the cinema on Monday for the first time in probably over 2 years, saw Suicide Squad. It was okay, some funny parts but bizarre story line. Don't think some of my mates were that keen on it, so probably not a must watch.
