since looking an hour ago, Harris has closed about 30 seats - they’ve still got to hit 270…?!

I feel like this year will be important in the future history of how the billionaire class broke society .

What a fucking mess this'll be. He'll be the president that brings America down.
It'll still be there when he's gone, but it'll no longer be what it was, and like it or loathe it, without the US playing policeman Russia, China and others will seize the opportunity.
We all lose.

I didn’t want to be right. Harris did a brilliant campaign. Trump is America is Trump.

Don't forget that America as a whole is way more racist & misogynistic & right wing than we can comprehend. They think Starmer is "radical left" There's a lot of Americans who will ignore absolutely everything and vote for whichever candidate isn't a black woman. Ditching Biden right now for Harris would hand the election to Trump on a plate. Nobody else has the reach & profile to engage voters in such a short timescale.
It's all a bit shit but the only way through this is for Biden to stay in, and win.

People keep comparing him to Hitler. I’m thinking Mugabe. He’ll get rid of everyone in government who actually knows what they’re doing and replace them with lackeys. He’ll steal everything he possibly can. A successful functional country will collapse into financial & social chaos. He’ll refuse to leave.
America a banana republic in 5 years’ time.

Has Broccers logged on yet to tell us what a great day it is?
Feels like I was right with my prediction that it was going to be more decisive than it appeared, but sadly not the way we all wanted.

Sky news said that Trump is winning by quite significant margins in many states, that Harris has not gained any ground, and that it's the best election performance since Reagan.
I'm genuinely beginning to question my choices, I don't understand why disliking Trump puts me in a minority.

I'm not sure if that's good for us or bad - if the rest of the world starts to wage war, we could be like Switzerland in WWII.

I'm starting to wish Trump had won last time, so next January he'd have been leaving office rather than taking it again.

The interesting/good thing is that all the people on the left that were marginalised by Harris’s campaign are already organising to look after each other when the institutions start to crumble.
