Looks pretty out of the window, will probably think it less so in 10 mins when I’m scraping my screen.
No signs of any gritting yesterday morning despite plenty of warnings of cold weather, and the roads were pretty slick in places with no visual clues. Several minor accidents and a fatality on one of the back roads a couple of miles from work

SNOWMAGGEDON!!!!
The forecasts have been predicting some pretty awful conditions for the past week.
I doubt we’ll see any of it over this side of the country. Very cold at the moment, but supposed to be 12c by midday tomorrow, so even if we do get anything it’s not likely to hang around long!

Supposedly 15-18cm forecast for us overnight, will at least be a fun test of the new tyres tomorrow if it actually arrives.

So two gritters out and about this afternoon - BR7.

Odd, we're in BR5 and 12c forecast tomorrow.

Bought a sledge for the little 'un the other day, she's been banging on about whether it's going to snow ever since. Probably a case of a bit first thing and gone quickly, hopefully around long enough for it to see some action.

Nothing at all here, actually feels like it’s warmed up a bit already. No frost on the cars. Did send the mrs to work in the mito on all season tyres in case we did get any.

It is snowing here now, but too warm to settle.

We are hoping to fly to Tenerife at 8am tomorrow from Bristol. Flights tonight are cancelled and they are clearing the runways
I hate flying and haven't been on a plane for nearly 5 years!

It's snowed here tonight, settled, but stopped already. Looking at the forecast it'll be warm and raining when we wake up so I fully expect it to have melted before the kids see it.

When the nipper was about 4 or 5, I bought a custom, hand built sled from Austria. It cost me a fortune but it’s a beautiful thing and will last for decades and get handed down.
However, I live in the flattest part of the UK so sadly, it hasn’t really been used properly

Light snow atm, but steady and settling and enough to cover tyre tracks quite quickly. A fair bit of yellow on google maps, not as much red or closures as I expected but there's plenty of time yet. I should probably go out and get some use from the winters, I don't know where to go though and I don't think I cba to go that far. Meh.

That's quite some claim, and also not the Bletchley spirit

just had a good snowball fight at my sisters down in Swindon. the drive back up the M4 was pretty bad - the outside lane was completely unused and the 2 other lanes had wheel tracks through the snow, so whenever you changed lane to go round someone you had to cross the 3-4 inch deep bits. I only had one oversteer moment though, and that was half a mile from home at about 20 mph on a tiny bend…

and there it was, (mostly) gone. Still a -9° wind chill, but now applied to 2° rather than -1, and air quality "excellent" rather than "poor". Stuff still falling from the sky, now mostly drizzle. Goggle mips has lost its jaundice.
