It clearly says on the bus "Let's Take Back Control". Are you suggesting we relinquish control? And why don't you want to fund your NHS?

I am utterly sick of the whole fkn thing now.

Our politicians have have proven themselves to be the most incompetent cunts in history.

I could go on but this has to get resolved, quickly, one way or the other!

Never mind Bercow, France are saying that if the proposed extension is just to allow May to continue kicking the can down the road as opposed to doing something productive, they'll veto the shit out of it.

Macron's just doing his usual Billy Big Bollocks routine. He'll do as Tusk/Juncker tell him to ultimately, as they all will.

Possibly more important than Macron is that the Commission (i.e. Juncker's) position is that the latest date for a 'short' extension has to be the end of May rather than the end of June to avoid having to hold EU elections. So it doesn't look like the EU is going to give May what she's asking for anyway.

ETA: Tusk statement at 4pm and SO24 emergency debate on the extension request first item of public business in the house this afternoon. If the Speaker decides that May's submission to the house in that debate is not "neutral", he may rule that amendments may be tabled and which could be binding. This could feasibly force May to request a longer extension - though again, I'm not sure there is a majority in parliament for a long extension as that currently isn't Labour's position (and the EU won't accept without us offering up a second referendum or election).

The Council disagrees, however.

Tusk has waded in and said the EU will only grant a short extension if the UK agrees to the terms of the Withdrawal Agreement next week. I would say it was blackmail other than it makes sense to hold parliament's feet to the fire to make them make a choice (and really the blame is on the side of the UK for inadequately preparing for no deal which permits the blackmail in the first place).

I read something the other day that suggested that "Project Yellowhammer" has actually been in full flow and the amount of No Deal planning has been fairly extensive on our part - just that any mention of such has been kept very much hushed as it doesn't align with the "cliff edge" case for getting MPs to vote for her deal.

That's certainly the case to a degree, although I think Hammond has genuinely slowed the process and even by positive accounts, it isn't where it should be re rolling over EU trade deals/agreements bilaterally, etc.

Corbyn is and always has been a cunt. There is nothing new here. Party politics over the good of the nation. A fucking child.
